I think the answer would lie in if it's costing money to keep it till next year; storage, insurance, payments etc.

Get some pics posted up about it with ricky and paul at maxed out marine. Let it run its course till sold. Just maybe do it with little effort till March or April. If it sells for your price it sells.

No payments, but there is insurance and storage. Are boats worth more in spring time than the fall...??

Yea, I think they are worth more in spring. Beginning of season and people getting income tax refunds.

They are only worth more cause you can get your asking price eaiser. People get in a last minute hurry to buy a boat before the season and end up not doing much negotiations. In the fall it's a buyers market. Typically prices can be brought down cause the seller doesn't want to sit on it all winter and if he's in a hurry to sell that makes it even better for the buyer.

I think it is a good time to list. There are still two months left of boating in Havasu. Also with year end a lot of prospective buyers will be looking to buy. I listed my boat. GLWS.

I think now is just as good as any as long as it's a good boat and priced fairly.

I would put it up for sale now. Those boats seem to sell almost all year around. I bought mine in the month of October.

I sold my last boat the weekend before Labor Day.
It's the last big weekend of the year and some peeps dont want to miss out.

I would give it a go. Those Daytonas are highly sought after.

I've sold them in sleet storms mid-December.

Off road vehicles seem to be open of the seasonal, but for some reason my boats sell anytime.

Best of Luck!

I've had mine listed on & off CL since late February https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/boa/5168353640.html

Only inquiries I've gotten are: People asking if it's still for sale. People wanting to go for a boat ride. People wanting to trade a POS _________ /tattoo work/or other services. Low Balling Flippers. And sketchy organizations asking me to donate.

And also here on RDP since e late March http://www.riverdavesplace.com/foru...2-1983-Marlin-26-Day-Cruiser&highlight=Marlin

Had one potential buyer but he recently bought an Eliminator ;)

I've sold my boats in october, december, and February. It's boating season all year long in our areas. If you really want it sell, pay to get it into something like boat trader or a consignment deal where they advertise it. Boats usually do not sell if they are not seen. The bigger the audience the better

Letting, Maxed Out Marine, handle everything is the best advice I can think of. Just can't say enough good about them. :)

TY - looking to change things up a little bit maybe. This boat is awesome - I really enjoy driving it.

Detailed and ready for a new owner to take out on Labor Day. Listed @ Maxed Out Marine.

Right now (and I mean right now). Would be a good time to sell a boat.. Some people are still trying to get them for labor day etc.. After that things will slow down and the off road market gets busier.

Here at Elim, we've seen good demand on "single" power boats ... not so much on 28'+ twins.
Be realistic on your price ... savvy buyers out there. NADAguides is your friend.

Again, we are not dealing with that many pre-owned models ... no space with all the NEW BUILDS happening.

Mine too, check out Maxed Marine listing for the 2004 Advantage 30 Open Bow - PLEASE!:D

Why yes. Just check out the nicely priced 24 foot Ultra on the page first. [emoji16]

I was thinking I might try OCM to sell it faster but I actually want my money so I guess it'll stay with MaxxedOutMarine. [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

What year you looking for! I have one for sale ! Very clean!

I know you do, my problem is, I'll never get a good price for my 26, all work done by me, people want a big name attached to upgrades.

If I could swing it, I want closed cooling with enough hp to hit 100. I want to start going back out into the big blue.

I just bought one and love it; plenty of boating time left this year. Give it a try, must be priced right and you should be sincere in wanting to sell. My selling price is generally based on purchase price, less taxes and depreciation. Consider it a bonus, if able to recoup costs for upgrades, because you enjoy upgrading or repairing them. I always expect upgrades or alteration from stock to be neutral or a negative, especially if it involves the engine or outdrive. Only the talented among us, can buy low and sell high, with any consistency. I always attempt to buy right and sell right, staying with popular brands; my sons favorite saying is "dad, buy that one and you own forever". GLWS. :)
