WELCOME TO RIVER DAVES PLACE

Can you ID this 70's muscle car? Seen on the road yesterday in Bouse...

I’m still not clear how Mad Maxs engine would function without the blower turning. Some kind of bypass system if we’re speaking hypothetically?
We’ll hypothetically….
There was a guy(Probably more than one) on the hot rod pro tour or one of those drive and drag events, they ran a huge motor with a psi blower. Then to drive between events, they took off the blow off plate, and replaced it with a throttlebody and disconnected the blower. And the belt drive disconnect is on just about every car driving for the AC pump. So, hypothetically it is possible.

That could be bolted to the hood for all you know. That's how movie magic works.

Construction crews stopped traffic there in Bouse for about 10 minutes. I was right behind the car carrier so I jumped out and asked the driver if I could take photos of the car. He replied in a Terminator-like german accent..."yeah, sure, photos OK". He had no idea what kind of car it was.

Interceptors are made by Jenson-Healy, and have Mopar drivetrains.

This is a 73 Ford Falcon GT (XB), only made in Aussyland...we never got it.
Its the scene from mad max/road warrior In the movie the car was called an interceptor

Movie lingo name vs real life product name, who's on first ?

To offer a quote by a Mad Max film aficionado

To introduce some boating content to this thread. Volvos TurboDiesels that they put in front of their IPS pod drives are a supercharger over turbocharger setup. The Superchargers are on something similar to an AC clutch and run at idle up to about 1700RPM where they will cut out when the turbos finally start spooling. Apparently the engines dont have enough compression for an ignition event without constant boost so Volvo had to add a blower for the engines to be able run at the lower rpms.

I wonder why they couldn’t have ran a compound turbo setup. But hey good job on the boating content!
