We tent camped at Moabi a few years ago when it was that hot, felt like 403.
I've been there what it was 120 also, although we had rented a cruise America RV and the AC kept tripping the breaker. Hot as balls!

The hotter the better. One thing I really enjoyed about living in La Quinta (2009 - 2012) was the heat. Loved it! Spent 3 summers before having to come back to work in San Diego. Would move back in a heartbeat if work would let me, but no go.

I remember summer of 1996 driving back from Lake Powell in a motorhome with no A/C. Hot as hell. Coming into Baker, CA I see that damn World's Tallest Thermometer lighting up 118. "Hey Dad can we stop for water and soda? We only have a wine cooler in the ice chest" "No" was his response. I thought he was messing around, but it was no joke after he crawled past the last Baker exit. :eek . That entire drive from Powell to Phelan sucked. It wouldn't have been as memorable otherwise, I guess :drink

Last year Father's day weekend in Parker is was 113 Satuday (loved it) 118 Sunday, (still not too bad), and 125 on Monday (couldn't wait to get the F out). Yes, I believe 125 is too hot for me!

Above 115 is usually my break point. Above 115 just sux regardless. I've done the 128 in havasu about 20 years ago. It was unbelievable.

During that LHC 128 period we were on Mead in a house boat, similar temp there. Just stayed in the water most of the time and all cooking was done outside. Temps above 118 are a PIA. Everything gets hot, stays hot and does not cool down over night. I don't recall temps above 118 last year in LHC. But, looks like a different story coming at us next week.

We have been to Havasu in July a few times when it was in the mid 120's and it sux!! You go for a boat ride and feel like you are standing in front of a hair dryer and then you jump into the water to cool down and the water is 85- not refreshing!

Yeah....I was going out there next weekend before I saw that it was going to be 118. F-that, I'll wait. I know triple digits are here to stay for a while but somewhere in the 110 or below range I am ok with.

We might be related. My old man didn't believe in A/C. Drove from California to a east Texas in August along the Mexico border so he could get the Mexican radio stations. God I loved that bastard!!! :D
