Great choices. If you can get into the bar at the Old Place, that would be awesome. They open at 4pm and there's a guy with a clipboard in the front. Go up to him and tell him you want to sit at the bar. I think you have to order dinner to sit at the bar. Otherwise, you can get a drink at the side car outside. There's also a wine place right next door.

So you can't just have a drink at the bar? Is it worth driving there from Malibu to just have a drink sitting outside?

There was a place towards Kanan off Agoura road called Padres but wasn't a gay bar.

Yeah, Padres off Lewis Rd and Dorothy Dr. Got a call there one night for an unconscious female. She was there with a girl friend and 3 dudes (was not a gay bar). My partner and I were first on scene and she was obviously drunk and having pretty bad labored respirations and yes unconscious. I put her on O2 and my partner asks "Do you think she'll take an oral?" And that's when the fight started that entire patio got tossed, we held our own 4 against 2 until engine and squad 65 rolled up then they didn't want to fight anymore when it was gonna be 7 aginst 4. My partner was asking about an oral airway and they thought we were talking about sexual shit

Oh and it was a no. Once LASO got there and pulled out the bracelets we attempted an oral and she gagged so nasal it is

I don't think so to be honest. It's a very cool spot regardless. I would go check it out. The winery next door has indoor seating.

Yeah you should be able to go in and sit at the bar for some drinks after 4... It's worth the stop because you'll be coming back from Malibu to the 101 anyways, take Kanan Rd and the Old place is super close.. I do think it's worth it..

Not to totally sidetrack the discussion, but does anyone remember Pelicans Retreat back in the day? It was on the other side of the freeway PKWY Calabases where the BMW dealership is now, it used to be an awesome bar! We used to go there on Thursday nights to watch the Boogie Nights (this was like 30 years ago) and then head over to Sagebrush.

We would do the opposite, Party at Sagebrush on Thursdays and head to Pelicans afterwards to see Boogie Knights. They were incredible back then with the OG lineup.. Years later I played drums with them. Pelican's was so cool, Remeber the big fireplace in there? And the Patio? Great times indeed... I'm sure I was there when you were too, but we didn't know each other back then.
