Easy tell him to send it to you in solid works 2019.
Sounds like you are the customer paying him for a product.
Customer is always right.

Thanks, the tech guy at work was able to convert it for me. Not sure why any one uses sketch up over solid works

Good to hear that you got it taken care of. I assume that they use it because it is free. I know that my son plays with it all the time.

This was from the landscape design company for the next major project I am a super on. I wanted to make some changes before it gets sent off for approval. I do not like shrubs near buildings, they are a mainatance night made, but move them out a couple feet and no issue

With a land scape pack you bet. It's select the item you want, drop it where you want it then scale it. If you do some looking you can find anything you want already drawn up.

It's all good, just kinda spendy software for landscaping...

It's a mechanical CAD software, the kitchen/landscaping layout must be done with just sketches? Not really what it's meant for but see where you could do it is all I'm saying.

I agree, it's just also very easy to use because of all the textures and pre built objects. You are basicly using a drop down menu and put things where you want it. I have tried other things, nothing else is as easy to use as solid works. You can take some one that has little to no cad exp and in a week they can do every thing needed to design small construction projects. Rather it's kitchens, baths, decks, siding, interior architectural elements and etc

Just an fyi, to get the high end sketchup it's $1149/ year. Solid works is only $100 more a year.

Just to get the offline sketchup is $299/ year and it's very basic.

The free one is only good for 30 days.

Where did you find the landscape and kitchen packs, I have been a SW jockey since 2006 and never heard of this.

Where in the world can you buy SW for $1249?

The standard SW is $4k and I have premium and it was $8k and the workstation to run it was $10K!
