I for one will not pay $800 for a F’n novelty plate that can track my every move. I’m sure our phones and all the newer cars do that for you anyway. I see absolutely no benefit for the consumer, only for the government.

I do the same. If I do go into DMV for a registration, I use the self service kiosk. In and out in about 4 minutes. No line to wait in, unless maybe someone is using it in front of you. But that only takes a few minutes.

My friend bought a new F250 at HB ford last year and one of these was "included free" for $800.

Any thief will rip this off the car in 2 seconds

I guess it depends on where you live !! My son has had one for a few years and no problem with it being messed with yet !!
