Why a "luxury camp" exists among a bunch of hippies is beyond me...

I read more of that report and it said that the true "burners" have been pissed at the rich and wealthy coming in for years as they are not welcoming like the others are. Never been, but I see this two ways, one if it was all peace and love why would anyone give a crap about the wealthy camps. Two it sounds more like our normal shit generation of kids thinking "they have that why can't we" everyone should be equal crap.

So if it’s all about peace and love and art and no money being exchanged what’s the story with the $425 per person money exchange?? Where does the money go? This is a huge event and I get that there are probably required permits etc to put an event like this together but somewhere in the food chain someone is making a shit ton of money.

The plan is to fly to Kentucky and trailer out while taking in a small tour of the country. My brother in law will be flying in for a long weekend with a couple of my nephews for the weekend.

I'm trying to wrap my head around camping on a dry lake bed for two weeks.

I'm still trying to decide if this is a good place to be or should I find a job in Newport for the summer.

Surprised to see that people would take young kids to an event like this. Not judging, I dont hide much from my kids but definitely not a place to bring them in my opinion.

Also I wonder if there is any concern for global warming and environmental impact with all of the works of art that are burning fossil fuel. I am sure they are all smog legal and clean burning.
