Several family members and a couple of friends are there now. I couldn't get away this year, I do plan on going next year.

I have been twice and had a great time. It all depends on who you are going with. Having a good group to run with helps. I was planning on going this year but life go in the way and I had to choose between burning man and a trip to Aguazu falls in September. Given the wife's airline ticket, hotel and food are covered by her work (citrus conference) for most of the trip..... I am going to Brazil and Argentina.

I am planning on going next year. It could be fun to camp together as a group.

It is a blown out rich yuppie fest, 10 years ago it was something. You are better off setting up camp somewhere in the desert with a group of friends and setting some shit on fire. Eat some mushrooms, roll a few burning tires down some hill, etc.

I was headed out into the desert on Monday and it was a Parade of Hoopty motorhomes headed to Burning Man. Next Monday they will be coming back and look like they got flour bombed.


I have always wanted to go. I would have had a good time in the past, but I don't think I would enjoy it now. It went from my Bucket List to my Fuckit List.

The tickets start off at ~$400 at about 6 months til they jump too about $1200. Its also like $ 100 for your car. Looked hard into going a few years back with my gf, it was going to be like 1500 for tickets. No thanks.

They are bringing in millions no doubt.

My math it was going to be 5k when all was said and done... she was not into camping so I would have had to rent a moho. did a b&b on the coast for less then a grand and never left the room.... much better

That's how my neighbor gets there. They sent the rv's and art cars last week and flew in his buddies plane.

Good friends of mine do communications for this. Have had many invites, but never made the trip.
