Incredible morning River runs. The videos set the standard.
Nice build Paul. You are in good hands with Thane and John. 28SS is my favorite boat in that size.
I hear that you may be leaving Bullhead and heading to Havasu? If so will miss watching your fly byes at our beach in Willow Valley. Its been fun to watch all your different boats go by over the years!
Awesome boat, can't wait to hear how it runs...
Did Nordic switch back to balsa core bulkheads?
Very cool thread! Can you elaborate on the build process using the 2 deck pieces vs a typical 1 piece deck? Does the deck come out of the mold in one piece then get cut or are they laid up separately? It looks like the transom bustle is a complex area especially with the cutout sections for outboards. Seems like a lot of labor to blend everything together especially if capping.
Cab you run a 6 drive and large power on the 28 SS?
There are a couple out there running 1200HP + at or close to 150MPH.

Just a question. How come you didn't cut the slot for the wing plate before painting?
I love the boat and graphics, Paul really knows what he likes.
Why tunnel tab John ? does it need it ?
It may need it when it's fully loaded with fuel, people and gear. I'm really curious to see how well it works, I may want to add one on my boat.
Why tunnel tab John ? does it need it ? It need,s the individual bucket,s on the back seat .
Strictly to help the boat get on plane. Paul built the tab himself.
Did you keep the spec's so you can make me one?
Is strictly on me....boat works well without it but when it's 115 degrees and fully loaded it will make it easy to pull large props and jump on plane.
Also there's the aerodynamic factor being able to compress air as it leaves the tunnel...( Boring Pilot shit )
That's exactly why I want/need one. Cooler temps or lighter load I'm on plane in about 8 seconds at the most. 115 and loaded I sometimes have to move people to the bow to get on plane.
Looking forward to running it !!!
