First year so who knows. I know from the last 5 years watching the Havasu festival it can be hit or miss on the weather. This will make or break the event. I hope that it goes well as it is a blast when the balloons fill the sky and town. Great enjoyment driving around town and have balloons all overy the place including landing in the middle of the street. Then you have last years event with a few balloons touching down in the Water. I‘d say check it out and even if the weather is not cooperating make some fun out of it. Last year we were on the bridge where I grabbed these videos. I hope that one year we can be in the water right where all the action is.

As many times as the Havasu event has been blown out, I never understood why they didn’t have it around this time of year. I guess they’ve got too many other events going on.

This would’ve been a good week for balloons and a boat race, pretty nice out on the lake this week.

Bay Harbor Michigan has one every year in August. It went well this year. Last year it was so windy and nasty they never got a balloon up. Had a customer setting at my desk today, he was telling me about his sons balloon business in Carlsbad. He owns a few balloons with large baskets. Apparently he runs it as a full time business.

I’m thinking they just have to use more gas to stay afloat, one of the local Havasu balloons was flying two or three days this week.

Maybe it’s because they usually fly in the morning. This guy popped up shortly after I made my post.

Retired Ford dealer gave us a short ride this summer. Second time I have been that lucky. Cool stuff.

The logo on his balloon is the phoenix rising. He adopted that logo after his dealership burned twice. He sold it the second time after rebuilding it.

I was a chairman for the Temecula Balloon & Wine Festival for about 5 years.

Never once got in one of those things even though I had plenty of offers and opportunities.

Something about needing to use fire in a canvas balloon in the sky never seemed to make sense to me lol

BHC Balloon Fest was a good time. Thanks goes to @sprintcvx and wifey and fellow devildog Shawn for helping set up and teardown.

Yeah, depending on the weather it can be a bit spotty. They do launch early and then are spread out in the town. If the winds are good. If not there typically is a ”basecamp”. @jeepdog posted up where his wife and the RDP tent is at. IF they pack it up as far as balloons in the mid day they will have events in the evenings. They will sometimes inflate balloons and light them up in the night time. Being that this was the first event in Bullhead they might not have had as much as Havasu and even NM. There is the Havasu event in January if you want to experience it.
