Well it was like 16 degrees yesterday so I myself in the shop to add one more item to the “Minibago” circus ive created. Prior to the SEMA show I reached out to a company called Burromax about the electric pit bikes they make , having seen them at several NHRA events last year I definitely wanted one to keep in the trailer.

For the Roadster show I thought a cool trailer for the bike might complete the ensemble. About 12 hours start to finish and I designed it in a way I can extend the tongue and make a cradle to hold the mini hydro I have at a tilt. Dropped it off at the powder coater this am.

Now let me tell you about the bike , funnest bang for buck toy I own. This model holds 200 lb rider for 35 mile at 28 mph on a charge. Ive been chasing the guys around the shop as it is super maneuverable and fun as hell. Gonna get a fleet and start a hay bale brodeo event !!

That looks cool, I love the little bike.
I am thinking perhaps round clearance lights in the open ends of the tubes fore/aft of the fenders...
Not trying to infringe on yer plan, just tinkin' outloud...

I love how you transitioned the rear crossmember from square to round at the corners! 🤘

Looks great.

No job too big if one has the smarts and the right tools.

That is badass! Wish I had half those skills. That fender gusset, step thingy behind the left fender with the TF in it scares me though....

That is exactly why they are open and not capped off. Thinking you and I could create some madness !!!

Question -

How did you do the gears in the jack ?

Did you fabricate it or buy a kit, rip apart another jack ….

looks really good
and

the skill set is Absolutely Top Notch

Im always taking ideas and trying to file away ideas for later on when you post your projects

Thank You for sharing

I suspect we could, LOL. It wouldn't be boring, I know that!

You gonna build a ramp? I know you don't need one, but that's why one would be fun. Maybe a polished stainless angle frame with a nice varnished matte finish Oak 2x10 board in it for contrast..but I dunno where to mount it on the trailer.

Careful on that bike…. I know a guy who broke his leg in two places messing around on 50 in camp. Nothing crazy, just not being careful.

Do you know my late cousin? lol!

My cousin jumped on an 80 and did a footplant donut in camp as everyone was loading up to leave, completely blew out his knee. Like several surgeries and permanent disability til the day he passed.

Amazing what you can do in one day. Surprised you didn't put suspension on the trailer.

I know more people who have gotten messed up on pit bikes and bikes like that rather then big bikes. the "oh ill just spin a lap around camp" and bam your knee / ankle is grenaded.

Badass finishing touches and hardware everywhere then a couple U-bolts to hold on the drop leg? Garbage build!

j/k! Kinda nice to see some normal-human level assembly in the mix here as well. lol!
So , here is the deal on the ubolts . I am an overthinker . This whole project was built in my head weeks before starting. I guess because of how my noggin works I am usually able to do all the details and such mentaly prior to even starting. My son and myself will NEVER give you the quick answer , but given time we will give you the right answer!
So back to the u-bolts i pondered this and decided that for the look i was after I wanted it to look like every piece of shit we bolt on trailers. I actually had to go to the parts store fir those specific items. I will finish it up with a scaled decal from jack manuf.

If you only knew what a disorganized yet organized life I live. When people say “ that guy is beyond help “ THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT ME!! Somehow to the amazement of the people around me I pull off what I set out to accomplish.

Disorganized life is the sign of a organized mind :D. I am the same way. I do all my thinking at night, when I can't sleep. The only reason I don't sneak out into my shop in the wee hours is because our bedroom is about 10 ft from my shop door and it would wake the wife up LOL. I worked night shift too many years...

Trailer turned out pretty snappy ! I designed it in a way that i can bolt a longer toungue on it and other accessories to be universal to whats on the trailer. I have a vintage hydro that would look neat behind it.

I left washington 46 years ago, I think I need to move back, right next door. I will just come sit in your shop every day and watch the show.

The decking on the trailer makes the whole thing!
