Modelo is what, 20-40% more than BL, and AB/Inbev makes Modelo.

If I was InBev, I’d stay silent too and just let them buy more Modelo.

This is hilarious. Maybe they will reimagine BL into a Modelo light can 🤣

From what i understand AB-Inbev was forced to sell all rights and production of Modelo in the US Only, to Constellation / Crown back in 2013.

So it doesn't seem that AB-Inbev would recieve any compensation for Modelo sold here.

BRUSSELS and VICTOR, N.Y., Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --Anheuser-Busch InBev (Euronext: ABI) (NYSE: BUD) and Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ, STZ.B) today announced a revised agreement that establishes Crown Imports as the #3 producer and marketer of beer in the U.S. through a complete divestiture of Grupo Modelo's (BMV: GMODELOC) U.S. business. The transaction establishes Crown as a fully owned entity of Constellation, and provides Constellation with independent brewing operations, Modelo's full profit stream from all U.S. sales, and rights in perpetuity to the Grupo Modelo brands distributed by Crown in the U.S.

Constellation's purchase of the Piedras Negras brewery provides it with complete control over production of Corona and the Modelo brands sold in the U.S

Constellation would also be granted an exclusive perpetual brand license for the import and distribution of Corona and the Modelo brands it currently sells, and the freedom to develop brand extensions and innovations in the U.S.

The way this reads to me is that Crown and Constellation, within the US, Fully own in perpetuity the license to the brand, they brew the beer themselves (don't buy it from an AB-Inbev brewery) and they retain 100% of the profit stream and aren't required to pay any license fee to AB-Inbev. They also have the right to fully develop the brand how they wish developing new product lines under the Modelo name within the US.

It also looks like they won a suit broughy by AB-bev over them making seltzers under the brands in the US

Hard to see why AB-Inbev to sue them if they are financially benefiting from the sales.

Great info. Looks like I was incorrect, and still drink Modelo :)

"I beg your pardon?" "Well, hard pass on Target, not dealing with all the Rainbow BS. "Agent laughs. "Oh. I see.." 🤣

Yeah, Pride flag in the middle, the Stars and Stipes flanking with them even is improper flag etiquette and just plain wrong. More Gay Pride bullshit.

Never happen with Trump in the White House, as he rightfully should be.

The flag of the Texas Republic can technically be flown even as Texas was a Country first, then a State, but as a rule it seldom is done. If I had 2 flag poles I sure as Hell would, with the American flag upside down, due to current events.

Peter Puffer Pride Stool Pushers can go suck another dick. Fuck you all. Yes Orifice Oracle, that means you too, POS

I think anyone encouraging this stuff towards kids should be strung up in Times Square
I get it, this is an old post I am replying to. Sorry, but I just read this monstrosity tonight.

You keep asking why AB needs to be the mascot for this. In addition to everything else, like the fact that I can't really boycott the Navy, we are left with one underlying fact here.

I don't care what people are saying, you do not get paid partnership videos with DM without paying real money. And it was more than one post. On more than one platform.

And they keep lying about it.

They will not apologize.

AND the kicker.....

Dylan's audience averages 14 years old. Yes, AB decided to sell transgenderism and beer to 14 year olds. I believe that qualifies as kids.

So YOU Dave, are saying AB should be strung up. I think that there should be an avenue for redemption, but that would require, maybe the CEO, to come out and say something along the lines of "We had no idea that DM's audience was 14 year olds, we now know, and we are sorry we sponsored this campaign."

That gives them an out, by saying it was an age issue, not a trans issue. Also gives them a for cause issue for the VP. But they will not take it. They are more scared of losing their CEI score than of losing customers. And that probably has something to do with every major company being between 22 and 23% owned by Blackrock, Vanguard, and State Street. They cannot fix this. Their major investors will not let them.

So we need to finish this economic boycott and kill this brand. Between Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street, they have more investment money under their control than the entire US economy. We the people need to make them hurt. Right now, they think they can dictate our behavior to us. And for the recent past, they were right.

The only way we can respond is by removing that money and influence from them. Encourage your state to remove all pensions from their control. If you have a pension, remove it from them. Yes, it will cost you. It's your choice.

But to be frank, Bud Light gets the boycott, because it is so easy that even Republicans can do it. You don't need to stop drinking beer. Just grab the next one down the aisle. Hopefully, you pick one that does not belong to AB. It costs you nothing. We need to make it cost them everything.

Just my opinion.

Obviously, Anheuser-Busch peddles Budweiser, Bud Light, and other Bud brands, as well as the Busch brands of beers.

But here are some brands you might not have known are owned by the company:

The Michelob brands; Natural Light and Natty Daddy; Cass; Castle; Corona; Harbin; Estrella Jalisco; Aguila; Beck’s; Stella Artois; Jupiler; Kona; Leffe; Landshark Lager; Modelo; Presidente; Hoegaarden; Labatt; Hurricane; Rolling Rock; Skol; Johnny Appleseed; Shock Top; and Quilmes.
10 Barrel Brewing; Appalachian Mountain; Blue Point; Breckenridge Brewery; Cisco Brewers; Devils Backbone; Elysian; Four Peaks; Golden Road; Goose Island; Karbach Brewing; Omission Balanced Brewing; Platform Beer Company; Red Hook; Square Mile Cider Company; Veza Sur Brewing; Nirture Cider; Wicked Weed Brewing; Widmer Brothers Brewing; Wynwood Brewing; Hi Ball Energy; Babe; Nutrl; Cutwater Spirits; and Ritas.

Just a reminder for all. Modelo is distributed by Constellation in the US, so they get some of the profit, but AB still brews it and is happy that folks are buying more of it.

Nope, they were forced to fully divest the Modelo portfolio INSIDE the US by the FTC over anti-trust. This was like 10 years ago i think, look back at my post where it shows the articles and press releases.

It isn't even brewed by AB, it is brewed at Constellation's facility and Constellation/Crown reap 100% of the profit stream

This is ONLY for product sold in the US, the rest of the world Modelo is an AB product.

Bud Light has suffered its worst weekly sales drop following its disastrous partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

The beer's sales dropped 26.8 percent for the week ending June 10, the worst week-on-week performance since its early April advertising campaign resulted in a swift backlash.

It's a deeper drop from the week ending on June 3, which saw a 24.4 percent drop, according to Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ. The new low beats the previous worst - an almost 26 percent drop - for the week ending May 25.
