Just an FYI if you're interested what other beers they make and what to avoid.

OUR BEERS

Since the 1850s, we have been proud to brew America's most-loved beers. Today, our portfolio of amazing brands continues to lead the industry by delivering what you, our customers, want. From flavored extensions like Bud Light Lime, to Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold, the first major beer to be USDA organic certified, we work tirelessly to deliver the strongest portfolio of beer brands in the industry.

Many are asking how to boycott Anheuser Busch so they can express their disapproval. The company is owned by the corporation AB InBev, which is based in Leuven, Belgium. This is a publicly-traded company. However, it is listed on Euronext, which is not an American exchange. In America, you can only buy publicly traded funds that hold shares in AB InBev. The largest is BUD on the New York Stock Exchange.

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, has reportedly suffered a recent loss of value after backlash over its partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney went viral, leading to calls for boycotts of the brand.

The total value of Anheuser-Busch's shares, which is called its "market capitalization," has been on the rise since mid-March, according to Newsweek. But since the backlash over Bud Light's partnership with Mulvaney, that value has dropped from being more than $134 billion to closer to $130 billion, a loss of almost $4 billion.

AB InBev owns about 400 different brands of beer including Budweiser, Busch, Natural, Michelob, Corona, Stella Artois, Beck’s, Landshark, Hoegaarden, Leffe, Labatt, Goose Island, Rolling Rock, and Shock Top.

The largest breweries selling beer in the USA other than AB InBev, are SABMiller, Heineken International. Molson Coors, and Pabst Brewing Company.

  • Miller and Pilsner Urquell are owned by SABMiller
  • Heineken and Amstel are owned by Heineken International
  • Coors and Blue Moon are owned by Molson Coors
  • Pabst Blue Ribbon and Schlitz are owned by Pabst Brewing Company
Of course most smaller local breweries are not connected to AB InBev.

Note: Budweiser and Bud Light violate the Reinheitsgebot, or German Beer Purity Act, and would not be legally considered beer if brewed in Germany. This is because they use rice as a cheap adulterant.

I don't agree with the coors light statement, but the rest of it I agree with. I haven't watch pro football since they kneeled . Was a HUGE nfl fan prior to that. Had very big superbowl parties every year. Fuck the nfl and nike.

I cancelled my decades long Sunday ticket subscription the day they cancelled drew breeze.
Had nothing to do with the weak minded Kaepernick or his al qaeda whore.
I haven’t bought a Nike product in so long I can’t honestly say when. Although I still have some very old Nike flops I wear in the garage.
Have not tuned in an NFL game in at least 4 years?
I was ALL about nfl my whole life. Big time.
Last time I even tried to watch all I saw was individuals hamming it up to the cameras on every single play. Pulling off the helmet and finding the closest camera after even just the most fundamental play.

I cringe when I see pro sports threads on here because, as you correctly point out, the hypocrisy feels like being slapped in the face.

Frankly, arguing over the best domestic beer is quite funny. There are some fantastic American brews, but none of them come in a can at Walmart.
At least drink a Kilt Lifter or something that at least makes an effort at being beer instead of foam in a can. 😎

"If you want to get involved in politics, fine. Run for office. If you want to run a company, focus on the bottom line. That seems to be the message that more and more CEOs are waking up to because more and more Americans are getting that message to them."

BTW I drink 805 and have for years. There is also Coors light in my fridge and a couple micro brews.

Miller Beer has been miss quoted here a couple times however one is safe to buy it. No InBev ownership.
This explaines the current state of Miller Beer. Currently pulled back into Molson Coors after an Anti-Trust agreement with AB to not own the Miller Brand.

Miller was owned by SAB (South African Beer) and InBev owns SAB since 2016 merger that spawned the anti-trust issue in the first place. To buy SAB they had to sell off Miller.

So you have Molson Coors / Miller Coors. How all that works we'll...more reading is needed I suppose. Its NOT an InBev Anheuser product.

Each InBev and AB product line has their own VP of marketing.
The VP of Bud Light, alienated a large % of her customers with one activity. AB can’t terminate her now (backlash from a small % would go nuts). She will not get promoted and most likely will transition out or to another brand within 6 months.

I decided not to drink BL, but a few smaller brands (Kona, etc) I am still drinking unless their Marketing VP alienates customers like their BL peer.

This past weekend was one similar to many others this time of year for me. A 5 hour trip to SE Oregon to shoot squirrels and drink beer. We have done this trip countless times, have a routine and pretty well stick to the program. In that program is (2) 18 packs of tall boys (1 for each day). I have been a Bud/Busch light drinker for as long as I’ve been drinking beer. This weekend was a normal weekend, other than when I got to the beer store, I bought Stones. The first (3) weren’t that great, but after that all was well. FUBL!

You might want to check out Oregon statute 549.03 (a) then delete this asap.

No wonder this site hates us Skinny Tire Assholes, we don't typically drink and drive. But when we do, we NEVER drink and drive, whilst shooting.

Common bub, I'm in the passenger seat, in the middle of about 28K acres! However, my buddy (whos in the driver seat) did not drink at all, so even when we were back on public roads we were safe!

At least he wasn't drunk hanging out the passenger window flying down a gravel road at night shooting at any rabbits that show up in the headlights.

That was a weekend ritual in Alaska in my twenties.
But that was before the internet and 8 billion viewers.
It isn’t me or Steve that will ask the questions.
This site is open source. Literally ANYONE can read this stuff.

I'm not going to argue. Just my extensive firearms and practical hunting training have taught me that the two don't mix.
