My son has 2 he bought in the 30-40k and has a third he bought when it dipped.

I told him itā€™s fake deal he kept insisting will hit 100k.

Is still dont understand any of the crypto shit
How do you buy it? On a website with a credit card?
How do you sell it. Does a check come in the mail?
How do you 'cash' out.
Im not much of a investor minus the property and house

I haven't bought Bitcoin, but here's an article on buying Bitcoin ETF's. Much easier to buy / sell, lower share price, and can buy via (assumingly) most brokerage firms.

Bitcoin ETF's

I will advise to be careful. I lost a few thousand with BlockFi and Iā€™m still irritated about it.

Down to 90K šŸ˜‚ . I mean, its gonna be bullrunning thru holidays. When parents come over at Turkey Day dinner and ask about Crypto, you know its gonna rip!
You know that is pretty accurate about the Thanksgiving-Christmas bull run on crypto based on nothing more than people sitting around speculating about something they know nothing about and having the ability to set up an app on their phone with say Coinbase or some other exchange and purchase crypto.

Now if @RiverDave were smarter than the average bear right now he would discreetly through the use of a private messaging system on a web forum coordinate the troops to make a run on some bullshit ā€œpenny stock/cryptoā€ Stellar Lumens which is trading at $0.14 right now, run that shit up to $10.00-$500.00 range and dump it.

Shoot the moon, market manipulation is the name of the game, itā€™s all bullshit but if you can get it to run, buy low, sell high, donā€™t get greedy as there is no real reason for it to have inflated value, just a lot of people making a run on something based on greed and a lot more people following suit and getting in on the hype. šŸ˜‚

Some mathalete/crypto market guy out there knows how to do this, but I would think if you could coordinate say 1000 dudes to systematically purchase $5000.00 of this shit over say a 4 hour period at 10 cent intervals starting on Thanksgiving night at 4:00pm eastern time that may be just the catalyst to light a powder keg buying frenzy for a few days or even weeks.

$5000.00 at $0.14 = 35,714 shares

35.714 shares at $10.00 would be $350k
35,714 shares at $100.00 would be $3.5M
34,714 shares at $500.00 would be $18M

And last but not least 35,714 shares at $0.00 would be zero LOL

RDP pump and dump, shoot the moon šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I'm so fucking bent out of shape about Crypto, I'll never go near it again. I had a wallet through Coinbase and when I switched phones I couldn't log in again. There is no way to retrieve your password unless you remember some 12 word phrase that gave you when you signed up. I'll never see that money again. Fuck Crypto.

And what happens to all the money from all the people in the same situation as me? It's a scam.

You should be able to recover it from Coinbase. Since they send out tax forms lol.

If you sit down at a poker table and cannot spot the sucker, itā€™s you. šŸ˜‰

Back when bit coin was under $20.00 one of my buddies put one bitcoin in our white elephant Christmas gift deal. One of the girls got stuck with it and threw it out, itā€™s pretty funny when we remind her of that now. This shit is all perceived value, if people believe itā€™s valuable than it is, same as our paper money. You canā€™t eat it, fuck it, or sleep in it, but you can trade it for all threešŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

In reality itā€™s just the latest pyramid scheme but scaled up to a global level and running a long game. I know some really nerdy tech guys who have had there crypto wallets stolen, if these dorks can keep their shit secure, no one can LOL

The 12 word seed phrase IS your ā€œmoneyā€. Its the only thing that shows ownership.

If some tech guys got their shit stolen, I wouldnt want those guys watching over my business data. Thats some scary irony.

This isnt FIAT currency, you cant call Wells Fargo and have them assist you. Its self custodial. You lose your seed, youre done.

This isnt River Daves Dinars, this is real deal shit guys. It aint going anywhere.

I know when a bull run is coming because regualr peeps start talking about it. Funny noone talks while its losing. So please, keep talking over turkey dinner this week. Here is some talking points when your Uncle Ted brings it up.

ā€œBitcoin is a cryptocurrency, a peer-to-peer digital currency that operates independently of a central governing authority. Bitcoin enables direct transactions between users, secured by cryptographic technology and recorded on a transparent and immutable ledger known as the blockchainā€

Not possible. He had a warm wallet on his phone. The only thing that differentiates between any device is that seed phrase. Its gone.

If he had it in the coinbase exchange, then they can help. But not in a wallet.

The bitch about it is, when they gave me the 12 word phrase I thought I better save this so I screenshotted it and moved on. Went back and looked at the screenshot afterwards and it was a blank screen. I guess they do it for security reasons but when you screenshot the screen the phrase disappears for a split second. F me, F Crypto.

Set up a Coinbase wallet and you can buy and sell on it. You can have the funds back in your bank account electronically.

Actually set up a Coinbase account and trade on the exchange. Keep it on Coinbase. Makes it simple. Adding the wallet just conplicates thibgs for beginners.

Or Robinhood if youre familiar with that platform.

A kid I worked with buddy's dad was a big-time investor, I had seen of him, and he was flying Jared Goff to a game on his jet, a full-size airliner. long story short he told him to buy all he could back in the day which happened to be 8 coins for a few bucks. All the old guys at work would tell him it's a Ponzi scheme etc. etc. so he finally sold I think for about 80k total, not too bad of an investment but surely not the 800k it would be worth today. I bought some on Fidelity just as easy as anything else to buy.

This reminds me of Thanksgiving 2017. Families talking about "what is this bitcoin" and people who had no idea what they were doing investing it (including myself). I invested in October or so of that year and I'm like fuck yeah! It got up to $20K that holiday season. I'm thinking I'm so buying a DCB...and then bam it was worth nothing. šŸ¤£ And now I can't even access it. Fuck you Crypto you bitch.šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬

I just logged in to check the xrp I forgot I had. Own 583 at an average of 72 cents. That was a nice surprise when I logged in to see it above $2.50. It's a long hold. Hope it keeps going.

Nice! I have 1000 at .69 so we are pretty close! Hoping for more also lots of people saying s always its going to 100$ lol we will see. I think 2.50$ is strong resistance so we need to stay above that and run!

I would be ecstatic if it just ran to $5. I would truly then believe it's actually real and has a chance.
