I stopped by my local Chevy Dealership this afternoon to look for a new truck. I saw a nice Silverado 1500 loaded with all the options that I liked and asked to take it for a test drive.
The salesperson (a lady wearing a Biden for President lapel pin) sat in the passenger seat next to me, describing the truck and all its options. She explained that the Electric Seats were connected to the ventilation system and could be set to direct cool air to your butt in the summer & warm air to your butt in the winter.
So I mentioned that this must be a "Trump truck". She looked at me a bit angry, and asked why I thought it was a Trump truck. I told her that if it were a Biden truck, the seats would just blow smoke up my ass year round.
The two mile walk back to the dealership to pick up my truck was worth it.

Read the article on that guys experience . He only lived because the ash cloud drifted slightly away from where he was. Others died instantly. He also tweaked the bike trying to back up but still managed to ride it out. He later got arrested trying to go back and get his vehicles.

A long time ago LACoSD required patrolmen to wear helmets in the cars, I'm sure other departments did as well

Yep. Many agencies in Ca required the helmets to be worn.

Here's my mom with another Deputy at a recruiting event in late 60's. My dad doing a show and tell in the 70's.

Haha! I drive through LA almost everyday. I currently have a couple job site right near downtown (east LA and over by the convention center) so... ya..... I'm aware.

Although they may need puncture resistant gloves and clothes more so than helmets to keep all the needles out of them from the homeless.
