It's a generational thing. I got it right away too then realized some of the clowns in here might not even know how to drive a stick.

That's the way to do it. We learned in a manual because back then the automatics were too expensive... lol

When I took my daughter to buy her first car, she liked a Honda that was on the lot. Took it for a test drive. Once around the corner I put her in the drivers seat and explained what she was expected to do to drive it. When we got back to the lot, the sales person said he was amazed that a young person, let alone a girl, knew how to drive a manual transmission car. Told him she amazed me too, since that was her first time she had driven one.
