Making my way through the waves of people at the Desert Storm Street party tonight, I was pleasantly surprised to see Brett Manre
( co-owner of Lake of The Ozark's Performance Boats Center) posted up with a couple bad ass tow rigs, hooked to a Wright Performance cat and a Sunsation CC.
Knowing Brett from the numerous Cigarette Rendezvous he and his crew put on out in LOTO, he’s the epitome of a fantastic host and nice guy. The utmost powerboat enthusiast at heart, if you enjoy powerboats, you’d be bound to like talking to Brett.
A couple years ago, I grabbed a cigarette / PBC hat for my oldest son that he promptly wore out to threads. When we saw the PBC rigs at the street party I quickly grabbed my kid and we B-lined to Brett with the goal of getting a new hat. We rolled up to Brett (who was mid conversation with someone, and I apologize for my rudeness) and I ask him if they are selling apparel. I explain my son wore out his last PBC hat and needs a new one. Brett, without hesitation said, “we didn’t bring any product. But here you go.” As he took off his hat Al’s laid it upon my 14 year olds head. My son, being the good kid he is, said, “I can’t take your hat”. Brett said, “nope it’s yours.”
Zero wonder why PBC is a success. Personable, approachable, down to earth, great people. Brett went out of his way for my kid and I can’t thank him enough. Class act.
Brett explained this his first true time running in havasu. I’m sure they’ll have a blast and enjoy the sites and people.
Thanks Brett. Can’t thank you enough for making a kids night!
