Water barrier. If you don't use it down here the moisture will soak thru the slab. The foundation is rolled virgin soil with 6 inches of select fill that is also rolled and watered. Then they started the ditching.

I did that because that will be a private entrance into the study/office. Without having to go thru the house. I will use it as my office.

I like it to! I am talking to the owner of the subdivision. Trying to work out a deal to buy the other 4 lots. If I got the others bought I could add 45 acres to my 15 acres!!

I will have lots of speakers. I want an surround sound system for the TV in the living room for movies. And a separate system to play music throughout the house and back patio. With maybe 3 zones that I can control the volume independently. The music on the back patio usually always needs to be louder than the music in the house.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What do mean by flat work? I will be paying around $73 per square foot.

As far as the secret to life...........

No idea on that one. Just been very fortunate on some things in my life. And working my ass off!

I would run some outdoor conduits underground to have more speakers out back as well. Do up a plan for the rear yard area and then make sure to add some more speakers for great coverage. I put some on the back patio and since I never addded anything else underground I'll probably end up using the existing 4" curb core flood lines to pull wire through into some of my planters...

Sweet house, looking great!:thumbsup Flat work = outdoor concrete work...

I am a Contractor but I am doing as much of the work that I can do myself... Just trying to make the funds go as far as possible...

Look up Yamaha Music Cast for music threw out the house. You wont have to run speaker wire all over and you can play different music all over from the same server or play all the same if you want. Its what I have and if its set right its awesome.
