Any updates??

Octane Marine finished up taking her apart today. I'll pick her up tomorrow and take her to SC Wake here in town where they will template the entire boat for Sea Dek flooring. Called John @ Nordic today to confirm dropping her off Tuesday morning. Estimating they will have it for 3 to 4 weeks doing gel work.

On a side note, the guys at Octane Marine are a class act. I'm hoping Charlie will share some of the other builds they have going with us this winter. Some world class man shit going on in that shop. :thumbsup

Where are the quad motors going? Aren't you getting them to check out? The boat is gonna be badass. [emoji106]

They are going to Alexi. Just a guess, but I'm thinking we may have some motor updates coming after SEMA.

what booth at sema ?

I'm pretty sure Alexi will be with AEM Electronics. Not sure the booth number. I'm planning on grabbing Ol' RD in Havasu after dropping my boat at Nordic and heading up to SEMA for a couple of days. Never been before. Looking forward to it.

On the way to SEMA last week, I hauled the boat up to Nordic for some gel work. IMG_0885.jpg

I got a call from Nordic John a couple of days later with a little surprise. When I first bought the boat, I had the trailer bunks redone at OCM. Their shop wrench didn't countersink the bolts that hold the bunks into the wood. :grumble:

IMG_0899.jpg IMG_0898.jpg IMG_0900.jpg

Needless to say it did a fair amount of damage to the bottom of the boat. There were a few other areas that needed some attention that we weren't aware of... Surprise.

Man, OCM, the gift that keeps on giving. Sorry Aaron that you have to deal with all this, but, like everyone else, I am excited to see it go back together for you, its gonna be awesome. :thumbsup

Are you regeling the entire boat? Or just repairs? Love the 32's, nice boats.

That sux Aaron [emoji107]. Not only do you have to fix the bottom of the boat, but now fix the bunks as well. That guy was an ass..

The bottom is done! They are doing the bilge, and modifying the rear hatch area to make clearance for the new engines. There are a few imperfections in the gel, and some dings I've put in it. It should look like the day it popped out of the mold when the gel work is done.

Looking good buddy! Seems like there's always shortcuts on the bunks... Make sure they're using stainless!

Figured this place needs some boating content. It's been awhile since I've posted updates. Life has been crazy busy.
We have been making tremendous progress on the 32. I'll be back on the water in early spring. Here are some updates on the gel and aluminum. Have motor updates to share with you guys over a few posts.

Nordic completed the gel work. They flow coated the bilge, and cut the back deck to allow more clearance for the new quad-rotor engines.

All of the aluminum has been chemically stripped and is being powder coated to a new color.

Figure it's going to take me about the same amount of time as it does to build a new Schiada. :D
