I am about to give you all a Christmas present:) sort of...LOL
we'll other than my 16-18 hour days trying to keep up with Havasu's Crazy building boom with 6 builders and 3 major sub-divisions, I have been filling my 2am-4am time slot with this.......The Mohave County Motor Sports park yes it's happening, The red tape has been cut and we are moving forward on what I hope to be a premier motorsports park when we are done. The land is Acquired, rezone to motor sports use approved, civil and site plans in the design process now. I am excited to keep meeting racing's elite for their input and guidance and hopefully get them excited about it as a place they want to come race. So far we have dual 1kft drag strips, road course, dirt course(SXS and M/C), short course, small ovals for the midgets and legends and so on, the current design may change greatly as sought out professional input and guidance suggests.. please note the key words here "PROFESSIONAL INPUT" LOL, attached is a screen shot from my PC so you know it's real, those that know me know I am a straight shooter and those that really know me know I wouldn't waste a second on something I didn't already know has a profitable out come. it's going to take a few years and this maybe my last big project before retirement but what a way to end with crowning achievement like this and something I am so passionate about, when your skill set and hobby cross paths only good things can come of it. SO HERE IT IS REV1 OF THE MOHAVE COUNTY MOTORSPORTS PARK.

A Christmas Miracle, good news!

Where will the new Mecca of motorsports be? No matter, I'll track the smell of race gas.
(Glad you've been missing, but nothing wrong!

Will a karting track be incorporated in to the lay out anywhere? I could put you in touch with some pro level karting people I race with. I just finished Calspeeds 12hr Machismo race in 2nd. SARA park master plan as a karting track but I can not get ahold of anyone in Parks and Rec that knows anything on it.

Congrats on the project, cool for the city to get something like this.

Thats really cool.

I bet it draws in all kinds of industry related businesses. A smart person might want to consider building a near by business park to support demand.

Or maybe a large Dividable warehouse with large electrical service and large storage yards behind.

Drag strips need to be a lot longer for shut down zones. I would say even an 1/8 mile track is longer then 1000’

Nice. Congrats. Try and get a track useful for Kart racing, IKF events are big and draw in a big crowd. Just my .02. Congrats again

Drag strips should be 1320ft
the current trend is for the 1k' tracks because it is what the NHRA top fuel classes run now and eventually where all classes are heading due to speeds, with the 1/8mi being the trending standard for the pro mods and lower classes. you kind of have to do what all the sanctioning bodies want if you want to be a sanctioned track ;)

I disagree, your weekend bracket racers are going to run 1320ft. The cars are literally set up to run 1320, most of these cars might too out in the 140s 150s. 1/8th and 1/4 is your common drag race. Thousand foot is for only 2 classes. Your weekend drag racer is going to be pissed about throwing a wrench in what they're used to. This is all my opinion, I think what you're doing is fucking awesome and it will do well though.

On the road race track. Please add some elevation & I would love to see some version of a carousel like what’s on The Nuremberg Ring and or a banking sling shot onto the long strait. Current trend in tracks is to create a very tough last turn onto the strait. IE: Cota, Laguna seca.

A sling shot last turn and a turn 2 at Laguna seca where you have a double apex for a turn 1 would be awesome.

S’s like what’s at Buttonwillow are a lot of fun, also Phil Hill/elevation.

Good curbing & run off are critical. See Cota on what would be ideal.

It is like Willow Springs... Infinite desert runoff.. except in turn 8 and 9 LOL.

Agreed on the banking and some elevation.

You can have a longer track and race shorter for the record.

In the thousand foot racing in top fuel came about because of the death in Denver because of the short ass track with a very short shut down. If that track had been longer that guy might have lived. Food for thought.

yea well, I got 2016 lite and the most bad ass PC HP has to offer (as of last week) and no way am I going to the new ACAD subscription service crap where you have to rely on the internet being up as well as their server working to log on and allow you to work...oh and pay $1k plus a year for the privilege of use and not owning a damn thing.....F that crap.

Looks good except I'm failing to see the drag boat section. :)
Nice to see someone else who uses an old version of Autocad.

Awesome! Please add a pro level kart track like the old Moran "Full Wood Kingdom". Seriously there has been a big void in the southwest since they closed.

This. Please add a pro level kart track to the plans. Something on the scale of Moran Raceway would be awesome but even a Buttonwillow style track would be okay as long as you add some elevation changes to it.

How close will this be to the existing Proving Grounds track? So, it's actually going to be in or near Yucca, not Havasu?

Did anything ever become of that other road course out there or is it basically abandoned? I'm talking about the one due south of the Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch.

I would do just 1 660 ft track with a overall lenght of 2000ft for a true 1320ft strip you will need at 4000ft plus total including shutdowns, you will also need staging lanes, return roads and parking, why would you need 2 tracks ? is this a motorrsports club or a actual for profit motorsports facilty? With that being said a legit dragstrip in Havasu would be a draw You have alot of racers in Vegas, Kingman, north Phoenix [ex speedworld racers] that are within 3 hours. Plus you will be able to put on events in the wintertime when everyone is shut down

Great idea, but Yucca?🤮 Who's going there? Sounded great until you said that. Kinda like the race track just outside of Desert Center, location is everything.
