Castaic can get surprisingly big if the wind kicks up.. I don't think anything like Mead though.

Ha! Sh!t you not, these pics were from a couple years back out of Channel Islands Harbor. NOAA called for 14' seas! We quartered it, no problem, ran 60+, couldn't see anything but water inbetween the swells.

Its not the size of the water, it's how stacked together they are. If you can quarter it, you're good.



And I agree with NoDoz, it does look like fun!

Ah Mead...

I saw a 32 Eliminator cat stand straight up on it's transom at Mead.
Somehow the guy got it turned around and headed to a cove. One more degree and he would have been on his back...and very wet.

That was the same weekend I experienced taking waves over my head in my SKV!
