This winter's project is replacing the original VDO gauges with some Autometer Pro Comp Platinum. These are the "before" pictures. Hopefully "after" pictures after next weekend.

Hey oldtoys, post a few pictures of the whole boat. I have an 89 tahoe as well. I did the new interior a couple of years ago and I need to do the gages. I want to see the whole rig for comparison.
Thanks,

WOT, that looks great! Good choice:thumbsup I also like the carpet change. I went with the gray on the floors and left the blue on all of the vertical surfaces.

Well I got the new gauges finished up. Looks pretty bitchen (for an old toy anyway). They look more white in the pics than the silver ("Platinum") that they really are.

What are you doing with the old gauges? Might have use for one of the Fuel level gauges if your not using them somewhere else.

Nice upgrade! great choice of gauges Autometer are top of the line. Where did you pick those up at and how much? Did you have to replace your senders too?

Thanks,
The gray is nice and easy to keep clean. Dash came out nice, Looks great with the detailed switches and ignition switch bezels.

I was thinking about offering them up on a boating forum to anyone that could use them:D Where in Socal are you. I'm in Cucamonga, work in Upland. Gauges are still in Havasu but I can bring them back next time.

Thanks! I got them at Eddie Marine. They have a pretty good selection over there. I'm not sure but I think it was 4sumthin for the set. That included a new water temp sender. JC at EM said that was the one that would need to be changed. The fuel gauges read about 1/8 different, close enough for me. That could be more or less accurate than the originals.
