Lets discuss.

This boat has been on Craigslist San Diego for well over a year, more like two years I think. If memory serves the seller started out some where around $80K for it, he is down to $62K. I think he is still over priced. It looks like a bad ass boat but $62K in today's market. Is he a dreamer? Will he get his asking price? What do you think it's worth?

Its a nice boat, a price of $42K prolly get it sold. Todays buyers are looking at how much boat they can buy with their money, 62K can get a lot right now.

I agree, to the right person that's probably the number. Good looking boat and I think that $60k might just be his loan balance.

I think they would be lucky to get 30k for it. Couldn't you build a new one for less than 62k?????

It does look like a nice boat though.

You know what's funny?? I wanted this boat bad about two years ago! It has been for sale for a couple of years... I emailed the owner a few times and actually offered him exactly $42k CASH, that's all I had. I felt bad because it made me feel like a low baller but I had to try.. I pretty much told my wife that I wanted this boat and I'm gonna go after it. The owner said he owes more than that and won't take it.. I tried.... Oh well.... It's still a bitchen ride...

In todays market, that boat might bring 25-28k ...I suppose a built 502 is a plus, as opposed to one in boxes....:p

It has its age (2008) as a positive, but for the money he's asking there is a whole lot more boat to be had out there right now...

You can buy a lot more boat than that for $62,000 on the used market. Its too bad for the guy. Tough market, high gas prices, and he over financed himself.... :( Oh, AND its a jet boat.

What he said X2.
As we drive around and see businesses closing or closed and car dealers with skeleton inventories I wonder who is drinking the KoolAide being served up?? Not a good market for almost anything.

You never know maybe he's not real serious about selling it and just trying to find someone who has to have it so bad they will pay the money. I certainly wouldnt pay that much for it, with that amount of money you could into something 8 feet bigger. Honestly, I think would try to sell the motor for a big chunk and find a cheap used 496 to drop in it and reduce the price.

Yet another seller confused between market value and what he has to get out of it.

Saw 1 close to this go through auction at $26K, maybe he just typed the price backwards.

New I'm sure it went for quite a bit I really don't know the value of keyboard to well, but unwound guess it to be 35-40? Looks clean with few hours.. If he had to off it quick low 30's..

Think about it, 2007 some companies were still doing well, but the signs were on the wall. He wanted the best, got it, and maybe had credit so he only put say, 10% down. I would say $62k might be what he still owes.

I never understood the Ultra koolaide drinkers anyway. When I had my Shockwave Tremor built in 2003, it was $16k less than what Ultra wanted for the same features in a 247. I dunno, maybe a little supply and demand going on, but at that time $76K for a smallish 24 foot boat seemed insane, hell $60K seemed ridiculous.

doesn't a boat lose quite a bit a value just for being used? I always thought they were worse than cars. 74 to 62 doesnt seem like a whole lot of depreciation
