I imagine at least a few of you guys have had boats brought out from the east coast,, anyone got any tips for getting one out here safely,, on a budget?
I think the website is called uship.com ? I would definitely have it shrink wrapped, and if possible have a shop on the other side run antifreeze through the cooling system or winterize it for the journey.
Thanks Dave. This particular boat is a "project",, no engine to freeze (I imagine I can cobble an engine together for it).
I am still debating if I can afford (I actually know that I can not)to be messing with a boat at all right now. This one will make an interesting story if I do happen to be able to get it.

Its hard to give a good price unless it is a backhaul depending where it is also. U-ship is ok, but be very careful. I have heard some horror stories. Its kinda, you get what you pay for. If its a no hurry deal I may be able to help when an east coast trip comes up.Dougiebear?

Well that is about what I wanted to say but need to keep it professional. Thanks for putting it the way it needed to be put. After being addicted to the show that show cases uship (shipping wars) and seen the complete tools that are on it id be afraid to use them in fear of gettin one of them. Fuck, they are a bunch of fuggen idiots!

I did take the time to call him,, sounds like a great guy, discussed a couple of options. He said without a backhaul it would be expensive, and he also suggested checking uship but being "careful"
