Alrighty…. Who is the boat insurance guy to talk to now days?
WozencraftAlrighty…. Who is the boat insurance guy to talk to now days?
Staggered 700s with number 6s and I made the cut but it wasn’t cheap..If it’s a high performance boat with big power, don’t be shocked if you can’t get anyone to cover it. I’ve been turned down by everyone, even Wozencraft and I’m under 1000hp.
Depends on type of boat.Alrighty…. Who is the boat insurance guy to talk to now days?
Thanks Dave.Brad Stern insures everything of mine including the new boat 1420HP. Brad 949-632-4500.
Also an advertiser (one that pays his bills), and a sponsor of pretty much all of the rdp events.

I called Brad and talked to him several months ago. He told since I had been with foremost for the last 10 years, there was nothing he could do for me. Foremost was gonna be the best deal.Brad Stern insures everything of mine including the new boat 1420HP. Brad 949-632-4500.

I wouldn’t lol signed up with them and they sent me to collections. I even gave them the signed authorization to debit my bank account with plenty of money in it. They were a pain in the ass to get it fixed. Said I had to fax proof that I provided everything. Lol I did when I signed up. State Farm has been good but I am unsure about high horsepowerWozencraft

Are you at liberty to say what you paid for the insurance? Curious what others are paying for twins In this (cumulative) HP range.Brad Stern insures everything of mine including the new boat 1420HP.

I’m a little pissed that Brad wouldn’t insure my boat under 1000hp single engine but if you have twin engines with a cumulative hp over 1000, that works. Are you at liberty to say what you paid for the insurance? Curious what others are paying for twins In this (cumulative) HP range.
I just received notice from my Farmers / Foremost agent that they would not be renewing. He recommended an AZ agent who could, but was at a higher rate. I called this State Farm agent who was referred by another boating buddy, glad I called. $898 for $125k ACV, 2016 Shockwave 26 Cat w/600 SCI. Just needed an AZ “stored” address. I do have AZ reg, not sure if that was a must.
Gisela had me off the phone in 10-15 minutes and email followed with the binder. Just have your VIN’s handy.

I just wanted to follow up on your post. Since you gave their contact info I reached out and they had insurance for me in a day for my boat and trailer.I just received notice from my Farmers / Foremost agent that they would not be renewing. Glad they worked out for you as well.I just wanted to follow up on your post. Since you gave their contact info I reached out and they had insurance for me in a day for my boat and trailer.
So very happy with them and I’d recommend them.
I also mentioned I’d seen their info on RDP so not sure if that helped.
So, despite the result of the last post, apparently the underwriter researched the Teague engine and determined that Teague only makes engines for high performance boats, which makes me a high performance boat, and therefore ineligible for coverage. They cancelled the insurance they had just issued.I just wanted to follow up on your post. Had the same problems with the 700s and number 6s. Wozzencraft came through but it was not cheap. So, despite the result of the last post, apparently the underwriter researched the Teague engine and determined that Teague only makes engines for high performance boats, which makes me a high performance boat, and therefore ineligible for coverage. So back to square one. And I’m not even a catamaran.
Yes, unfortunately. We closed the deal on an 07 38 Fountain with staggered 700s. It’s being picked up later today in Florida. Insurance was $3775 for the year. The most I've every paid to insure anything, ever. Truly curious if others are likewise paying similar rates on a V bottom with equivalent power.
Damn that SUX @DarkHorseRacingSo, despite the result of the last post, apparently the underwriter researched the Teague engine and determined that Teague only makes engines for high performance boats, which makes me a high performance boat, and therefore ineligible for coverage.
