Apparently Asheville North Carolina has decided they are a good idea. The city council unanimously voted to approve them and apologized for its involvement in the practice of slavery.

Legalized theft. Those within the race that are pushing for this (not all of them, just the ones that are pushing for it) hope to benefit from money and things being handed directly to them so they don’t have to get off their asses and steal it like they would ordinarily do. Here’s a thought: Go fucking work for it.

Even if they were handed thousands of dollars, it would never be good enough anyway.

What I see this resolution going for is investment in programs to further people of color in the areas of business ownership, home ownership, etc. Call me crazy, but I believe programs like that exist almost everywhere already.

Sheneika on the city council isn’t going to get the bundle of $100 bills or 32” rims for her ‘84 Cadillac Eldorado like she’s hoping for.

From what I read on the north Carolina deal is that there will be no money handed out. They will improve upon and put money in into black majority neighborhoods, such as parks, community centers, ect..

So the way I see it, it's just another way for politicians to line their pockets when they get their kick back for awarding said contracts to their contractor buddies. I think we are gonna see alot of politicians jump on this bandwagon once they see the $$..

Actully this may just be the thing to solve it for them. I can see they will now disband all their gangs, get married and raise families. The kids will all buckle down at school, stop doing drugs and they will all have a long term vision of success through hard work and personal accountability.

The whole thing is a smoke screen. They already said there will be no direct payments. Basically the City will invest in programs to help the disadvantaged which is what nearly every major City already does. All they did was label the recipients as Black.
