On a recent anniversary of the movie, they had a write up of how it got made and what a clusterfuck the whole shoot was from day one. They also did a documentary that still has lawsuits churning. Caddy Shack may well be one of the best and controversial films ever done.

Some of what I recall discussed was the somewhat at the time unknown characters like Rodney who had a helluva a coke problem during the filming. Chase and Murray who hated each other and made their big scene at Ty's apartment a test of how things would turn out. They hadn't spoken in years. Lots of adlibbing and and lots of hung over crew and cast every morning.

This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff.
