what I don’t get is my conservative SIL and BIL own two teslas and they are all about them.
I was the Regor of anti-EV until we went into LV Kia with one of the kids to help them get a gas AWD. Nice OHV designed car. A unicorn and amazing in the Reno Snows and off highway terrain. Much cheaper to negotiate a price in Vegas than Reno, especially AWD.

They flipped the wife the keys to an EV6 to test drive and that was some impressive performance. Wife drove it all over Henderson to Summerlin for a couple hours.
We bought one with the idea we'll keep it and trade it in when the Denali EV arrives. Wife's Mazda 6 had about 250.000 miles on it at the time.

Now the wife wants to keep the EV6, its a fantastic car.

Our Denali version of this truck arrives later this year:

"Some things people shouldn't be allowed to vote on" - Gavin Newsom. That's some scary talk from a Governor known for unconstitutional actions.

A friend of mine just purchased an E Hummer about 6 months ago. Decided to go see the F1 in Vegas, just him and his son-in-law. Wasn't gonna make Vegas, had to stop in Barstow. Killed 2 hours in "BARSTOW'. Get back on the highway made it Caesers Palace all fine. Same thing going home, had to stop in "BARSTOW", again. 😂 Waited another 2 hours now the car won't start, he tried everything, 30 minutes go by F-it, I'm calling AAA and he's towing this POS all the way to my house. in P.V.. In the mean time his son-in-laws been on the phone with who ever makes that Hummer and tells his father-in-law to walk about a block away with the key fob. He looks at him likes he's nuts. Anyway he does it, waits about 5 minutes son-in-law tells him to come back. Car started. Round trip to Vegas in that Hummer took 14 hours. His wife's telling me this and I'm dying' like this 🤣 Which only should have taken a 9 hour round trip from where we live with no gas stops.
Baker EV chargers are now 350KW, that charge will be way way faster and more reliable and a cleaner charge. The GM EV production stand down for the past 6 months was due to software issues causing vehicles to brick.
The Krauts had EV soft ware issue too.
That's all fixed now.

I mentioned it in a Tesla owners forum and got run. They don't want to hear of any issues with any EV.

I mentioned once a few Rivians rolled into the Baker chargers and all bricked. Certain brand chargers waver, aka surge and that would cause EVs like the Rivian and Hummer EV to brick. In the Baker case they were Signet chargers.
The guts in a Signet charger at the time were the same guts in an industrial location charger used to charge manlifts, e carts and e forklifts. Sloppy charging. Not a clean sine wave.
It's come a long way in a short time and is changing all the time. These Biden chargers may be doomed.

Are they really a true conservative? Building electric vehicles tears more land and harder on the environment! What are they going to do when they run out of land to store the waste? Farmers are losing land faster than anything people need to understand long term affects and again what are they using to charge these vehicles?
I'm not bashing your friends and it is a free country (well it ise to be) if it works for them more power to them.
Another note the new trucks with the weight of all those batteries imagine hitting another vehicle.........

You don't want people like Joel to loose his land to liberals who want to put solar everywhere.
Joel uses solar and battery back up for his property. For the record, I don't think we should be forced to do anything. EV's have a place and I do find it hypocritical to hear all the EV bashing from people who run electric golf carts. We have a lot of electric golf carts at the river.

Yeah Joel is self sufficient that's awesome!
The big solar power generating station we all should have issues with.
The only electric thing I own is trimmers and leaf blower. I can't wait until my leaf blower breaks so I can get a gas one the cord is a pain in the ass!😁
