Bfg allterrain ko3 on duramax?

I would do the Falkens, they are one of the only companies that offer a road hazard on their AT and RT tires. Also a few years back BFG took their Mileage warranty off (they have since added it back)because they were so soft and people were burning thru them, the KO3's are a new tire out so I don't know how they are going to be yet but I always try and sell customers the Falken's.

I'm running Falken WildPeak AT3's on my baby Dmax, and also had them on my F350. Have had no issues and they are quiet.

x2 on the Nitto Ridge Grappler when I had my 2500 Duramax. I thought they were quiet, did well during the rain, didnt pull with grooves in the road and solid when I was towing a 5th.
Now, ive moved on to a duramax dually. I've heard you can shove 35's under there without rubbing (stock height) anybody able to confirm this?

They have been a good tire and one of the owners here have them on his truck and likes them, they are just a little louder then the AT's obviously.

This is the last set of Toyo's I will ever buy. 30% tread left after 7000 miles. They have worn terribly, noisy, and traction is terrible. I don't know what changed in the last few years but these are not the same tire as before. I will gladly try a BFG again over the Toyo. View attachment 1440457
I agree, TOYO AT2's were the best on all of my diesel pickups. I'm rather disappointed with the AT3's both in wear and traction. TOYO would do well to bring back the AT2's for us diesel drivers. I always got a solid 40k to 50k out of the AT2's. For what it's worth, BFG's would be my last choice on one of today's diesel 3/4 or 1 ton trucks.

Does anyone have experience with the bfg ko3 vs ko2? I need new tires for my duramax and discount tire recommended the ko3s but I'm open to other brands also. I'm looking at the 315/70/17 or 35/12.50/17
Love mine. Have had everything and these are the best.

Like you I have been a loyal Toyo fan for many years. 1 set of AT & 3 sets AT2. Loved the AT2. 285-70/17 on a 2001 Silverado 1500. Always wore even, never got loud and consistently saw 55-65K out of each set.

Bought a set of AT3’s and around 10K the tires got loud, like BFG loud. I also noticed what looked like micro cracks in the rubber between the tread. I called Toyo and explained what was happening. Told them the tires are wearing fine, but are loud, and wondered if the new tread & compound was the cause? They said they should not be loud. They also had no answer for the cracks in the rubber. They were very accommodating and had me take the truck to the shop I got the tires from. The shop pulled the tires, checked the balance and it was fine. They measured the tread in 4 spots, all fine. They told me they have been seeing the cracks between the tread allot and they think somethings changed since Covid, as it seemed Open Country tires produced after that are seeing this. As far as the noise they agreed after driving at 35-40 mph and then 55-60mph that the tires were louder than they have heard in the past. So bottom line the tires were fine, but something Toyo is doing has changed. Anyone with Toyo’s look between the tread and see if you have what looks like dry rot cracking.

I’ll 2nd or 3rd the Cooper AT3 XLT. Have about 30k on my Duramax. Work and look great. 70% of the miles are towing.

After my issues with the Toyo AT3 on my Silverado, when I needed new tires on my Hummer H3 I chose to try the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT. I don’t put a ton of miles on the Hummer, so I can’t confirm long term milage, but I can say the ride very quiet and smoothly. And from the looks they should wear evenly, but only time will tell and I’ll probably age the tire out before I wear them out.

Only complaint is the tread is tight enough that they like to get stones stuck in them. I’m told after the tire gets 1/4 wear that seems to stop. Plus the tread is not as cool looking as some other tires, as the lugs are tighter together, but that’s why they ride good and are quiet. Thats the trade off.

Have always run KO2s on my Raptors. Seemed to get noisy after 30k??

KO3s only available in raised white letters?

Always ran Michelins on my Porsches, but have recently made the move to Continentals.
About 40k they are done so not horrible, right?
