For anyone with an account with MGM, especially if you have a credit card on file, looks like the hackers have their (our) information. Since hearing about the breach, I have been monitoring our cards and sure enough today, 4 bogus charges already. And yet another credit card must be cancelled and reissued.🤬

This is a pretty big deal. MGM stock has lost 6% already and things are expected to get worse. They’ve lost billions of Dollars in revenue due to everything being down, including gaming.

This will likely go down as one of the most financially devastating hacks of all time.

Yeah
I was going to post that warning yesterday, but figured no one would really take it seriously.
Then again, every single hotel is worse than a gas pump when it comes to security, but still, it’s a given that everyone’s info is now for sale on the dark web.
Don’t forget, any email associated with those cards needs a new password at the minimum…which means every other account using that email needs a new password as well.
Change em all.

OK, this is C20 , sheepishly staring at his feet, owning up to the fact that my above allegation of bogus charges was false.

Upon further investigation, the charges were for BEER at the CO football game, MANY BEERS, that somehow escaped my formerly reliable recall😳

Carry on.

I was gonna say....Im pretty sure they are paying the ransom and that would have been fast work to exfiltrate the data and burn it so fast. Its all about to bad guys showing "good faith" once a deal is reached.

Caesars was smart and paid up a few million bucks. They have insurance for this. Sure you're negotiating with terrorists, but it's a lot better and cheaper than this I would think.

Any chance the Mob was ever blackmailed when they controlled LV? . . . . . Nah, probably not.

From what I have heard they were advised by the FBI not to pay the $50M ransom. I have a friend who is a contractor that works down there occasionally and they are frantically rebuilding all their computer systems. My sister who works for MGM has been off of work since Sunday with no real return date. Said it could be weeks.
