Just got this yesterday from power company, we are in Northwest Washington State and have plentiful amounts of power, but they want you to reduce usage due to all the air conditioners running and putting a strain on electrical grid.

Yep, I got that same message. Well, I won’t be cooperating, because I’ve got some kind of crud after coming home from a cruise on Sunday, and I don’t plan on making myself any more uncomfortable than I already am.

Plus I’m one of those senior citizens they always tell people to check on, so I should be exempt when they ultimately attempt to enforce it. Right?

I love the idea and concept, but they shouldn’t shove it down our throats if the infrastructure is not there, can’t charge with no power, but you can have extra gas cans around and be ok

You mean like a stock jeep that costs less than half?

The point is they had to drive it directly to the charging station nearby. So much for off the grid adventures in your EV unless you can bring a couple extra cans full of electricity to fill up.
