Bingo. I worked at a factory in Budapest where we built the infra red night vision equipment for the USSR, among other optical devices. The reflector had a 200W halogen bulb behind the IR filter.The receiver that was attached to the commander's helmet ran on a battery and the unit had 25.000 volts to power the ray cathode tube that gave a rather grainy image. Since Hungary was a satellite country of CCCP, all the equipment we made, we had to engrave Made in USSR on everything. Those fuckers never made anything of quality themselves.
