I’ve had a house here in Havasu since 2005 and have eaten at almost all decent restaurants but I have to say “MARIO’S” makes a badass Ribeye! It’s funny because I’ve eaten here plenty of times and never ordered it until I was told about it in conversation at Havasu Cigars. Bon appetite!

Always interested in what chefs are "shooting" on their steaks. Any idea what that load was he put up there?

Just went down to the new Foundry two nights ago and they have a tomahawk for two people on there menu. I wasn't going to try it at a brand new week old restaurant but thought that was interesting they offer it. I will say the wagyu buffalo burger was excellent!

The best steak I've ever had in Havasu came off of my Blackstone Griddle. :D Next to that, Chabones Blackened Prime Rib is amazeballs!!! I'll have to give the Diavolo at Angelinas a shot. I usually only get the Tour of Angelinas (Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and Alfredo Linguini) which is always excellent. Thanks for the tip.

Marios, cha'bones, both are great. The best rib-eye I've ever had in Havasu is a place I won't mention or support any longer.

I saw the thread title and I made a little bet with myself before I opened it about how many posts there would be before someone said the best one is the one they make at home....my guess was 8, but the answer was 14....I was slightly off.. lol

Lol,,,it was Gorgonzola scallop Potato sauce
Thanks.... I always forget about blue cheese/ gorganzola on em. I'm trying to get more creative cooking my steaks. i had a tenant training at Maestro steak house and he showed me what they do. Butter and salt are a big part of their great steaks apparently. Flash sear both sides then off heat bake till right for you.

If you want a steak in Havasu you will need to get your teeth sharpend.

Hands down the easiest thing on earth to prepare, unfortunately these crack head line cooks can't sober up enough to accomplish the easiest of tasks.

Take a trip down to Just Meats, get yourself a prime cut of whatever it is you're looking for; Ribeye is the best choice for amature cooks and they are just plain tasty, they have a lot of fat and aren't to easily overcook.

If you're the average back yard balding Havasu burnout get yourself a Thermopen and cook it to 120 let it rest and and even your Tesla driving friends will love it.

I love Babaloo’s! What’s going on, why is it closing?
Our waiter said that he and the manager were sent from their sister location in Palm Desert to turn the Havasu location around. Apparently they were hemorrhaging money due to a multitude of things, but he said that the amount of alcohol “over poured” without compensation was a big problem. He also said they were given 90 days to get things figured out.

I think the bigger issue is that we were the only customers there the night we went.

I’ve eaten there a few times. The food was always pretty good, but the place is/was crazy loud.

Agreed! When they had the bands playing, forget about it…the level of loudness was off the charts. We would make sure to go on nights without music. Lol!

Yes, I love the El Malacone and the atmosphere. The new management team seems more concerned about telling everyone how great they are. Hope they make it. My drinks appear to be weaker 🤣

Even conversations 50 feet across the restaurant seem to carry. Last time we were there we basically were yelling at each other to be heard over the party with 2 cackling women across the dining area 😂.

We walked in and walked out one night when they had live music.

Some sound absorbing ceiling material would do wonders there.
