Working in Otay next week, where’s a good course with a resort that’s somewhat close.

San Diego Country Club is the best golf course near you. If you are looking for a great place to stay/play, Torrey Pines or La Costa would be your best bets. Neither are close to Otay.

I’d bite the bullet and drive back and forth to Torrey. There’s a Hilton on 18 that isn’t too expensive. Pretty nice walk down to the clubhouse to grab beers and a bite every evening.

Aviara just finished a renovation and is in really great condition. As mentioned San Diego country although not the nicest neighborhood is my favorite course but private.

If you want to have a great time and play a fun course head over to Bonita golf club. They have the cart path routed so you pass the snack bar/bar every third hole (not really but pretty dam close)for drinks! The food is pretty good if you decide to stay and eat.

Steele canyon is another good course depending on the 18 you play and down that way.

Torrey is having Farmers tournament this week. It will be booked solid for weeks after.

San Diego country club is private.

Closest I’d consider is Sycuan but it’s a good 30 min drive from Otay. Hotel, golf, casino.

Played Steele over 20 years ago. I remember that you need to bring a few extra balls, or maybe a few sleeves extras. Fun course though.

The muni best course (IMO) to play that is fairly close to you is Coronado. Green fee's are reasonable. There is no lodging but the Del Coronado is close. 👍
