Sorry, I can't help, Once upon a time I owned a UTV aftermarket business. Sold out years ago, it changed hands and went bust. What are you looking for?

Looking for a few things. Wheels, tires, windshield, roof rack and some other things that I can’t think of right now. Gotta get ready for the fun over the winter. 👍

Always had good luck with these guys. Actually went into there store one time when I lost a quad tire in Utah.

They had the wheels and tires in stock, mounted up and ready to go when I got there. 👍🏼

Check out triumph motorsports in corona for rims/tires they seem to have the best prices they also have a booth and the show right by the entrance and even better deals there. But you have to go early the 1st day.

Ok, got a few things ordered up the next purchase it wheels and tires so I can have a spare. I have take a look at all that everyone has posted so far. There is a lot of consider out there and I want to be sure I have it right when ordering. Those I know with Can Am did not purchase the wheels so I need to reach out further. Other friends don‘t have Can Ams. The tires are easy as I am going Tensor 32X10R15. Unless there is a reason that I should go that route. 👍

So the current wheels I have are the stocks that I believe are staggered wheels. It is all stock and the tires are 30X9R14 & 30X11R14. I assume these have different size wheels as I heard somewhere that makes it impossible to move back to front if needed with a flat. I am looking to get all the same size wheels and tire all around as well as an extra wheel and tire to finally be able to care a spare.

So obviously I am going to 15” wheel. Looks like 7s are the common width. I am not able to measure what I have but it looks like the lugs are 4X137/136. BTW, Why are there two sizes for the same lug pattern?. The big question that I have have is the backspace/offset. What is the stock backseat of a 2021 Can Am Max3 RR? I am looking at a couple of sets that are 5+2 OR 38mm. I’d like to be sure that I can still move tires around as needed and not have nay clearance issues.

Thank you in advance. 👍

Thanks for the suggestion. The issue is that I did not see any that were black with 0 offset. I must be looking in the wrong places.

Also you are talking 0 offset as circled in this image?

uhh, do a little research on wheel offset. I would not buy wheels for your can-am with what you circled. I'd go with the 6+1 on the end or a 5+1 unless you love bump steer. That will be closest to stock offset.

no sorry, do a 5+1 wheel so it would be the image all the way to the right.

6+1 would be ok too. but the 6" wide wheels are better vs 7"

Thank you that is why I circled the image I was looking at the 6+1 but most are coming up 5+2

So 6” is better than 7”? Even with the 10” Tensor tires? Ok I will keep looking around. If anyone has brand suggestions I am open to that input. 👍

Either is fine. With a taller tire you can get away with a bit more offset but not a lot. I run a tensor dsr tire on a 6” method wheel that is real close to stock.

And sorry didn’t answer your wheel width question. I went with the 6” with a 5+1 as if I remember right it was closer to stock than the 7” 5+2. That’s all from memory which is getting shitty! Haha. I don’t recall what mm offset factory where.

I've done 0 offset and high offset wheels 38mm and there are pros and cons. The 0 offset turns a lot flatter but the scrub radius is terrible a lot of wheel input and bump steer I've played with toe in and out to help with only little help unless you have the ability to change your caster I'd avoid them not to mention how much harder it is on the ball joints and you will have to crank more pre load into your springs because of the greater leverage. Now the high offset you will get none of those side effects and be a lot more forgiving in the drivability especially if you let your wife or girl friend drive it won't turn as flat but that's easily corrected with the throttle. This is my two cents.

Windshield- get glass and not plastic & you want a vented full windshield

get a bottle of this and apply 6 coats prior to installation on the car & do both sides, Then use a microfiber to remove the dust While on the trail. Do NOT use glass cleaner it will remove the water repellent.
I try to apply a Good coat or 2 before a ride….

DennisKirk is not bad either.

Or purchase a Speed Car. I hear those are pretty nice. 😁😁

The new tensors are going to be a great desert tire, make sure you get the Regulator 2 tire.
If your in a Max you might want the 33 instead of the 32 for an extra 1/2 of ground clearance, 32 will be much better than the stock tires

method wheels are good, one of the most popular wheels

I run DWT wheels “sector zero “ so far very happy with them

After having both, I like the 6" wide with 5x1 offset better than the 7" wide with 5x2.

The 5x1 is basically stock width and geometry for suspension

As far as the BFGs, so far I'm real happy. They don't look crazy aggressive but the traction is impressive.

Yea Tim, try 33”s tires with a 5+1 or 6+1 wheel offset for best handling and driving characteristics. The car is long so the extra height will help from getting high centered and eat up more ruts.

Highly recommend spending the money on springs and a shock revalve. It will transform the ride and handling. DC Shock Services in town is great for that, and can turnaround fast. Glass windsheild of some kind.

I think we talked about a front amber and rear chase lights when you got the car.. What else are you thinking ?

Thanks for the info from you, @riverroyal and the others. It is very helpful. I hear you on the springs however, that will be the last after the big concerns that the wife has. The ride is the last at least for now until someone says it can be better. LOL.

Gotta have a spare as we have a slow leak after our last ride. Then the windshield to keep Gen warm and happy. I have the lights but have not had the time to install. Looking like I will find someone to install. We did pick up a spare tire rack as well as the storage compartment under the spare rack. Now I know where the light needs to go. Might just hit up the shop I talked to late last year to get them to do everything. Then there is the wheel bearings that @dezrtracer keeps warning me about. Might Have to take up his offer to loan me the tool….maybe October.

Might as well put together a list. I think that this is all at this point. 👍

Wheels & tires - Need figure out what to purchase. Now that you guys gave me the info I will search once more
Windshield - have a place to order this figured out. Waiting until I know it can be delivered without issue.
Front and chase lights - have them just need to install
Spare rack - have it need to install
Tool/Cooler compartment - have it need to install
Roof rack - need to find one and have installed
Grease wheel bearings

I have a tool list that tells ya what tool and what they go to…
@LargeOrangeFont has a sweet tool bag and its very efficient

make sure to have a -

tow strap & connectors / soft ties
mini air compressor
impact gun to remove tire
plug kit
jack

and try swapping out a belt in the garage so you know how and know the right tools to have on board - U tube video will show you how you do it

I went with Method 401R's 5+0 with 33 Tensors. Shock Therapy actually recommended this setup. This along with their Bump Steer delete kit works great. I bought the wheels and tires direct from Method. https://www.methodracewheels.com/products/401-r-high-offset-tensor-dsr-33?variant=39407459303485

My windshield was built by Madigan here in SoCal. I decided to leave a gap at the bottom for some airflow and I am really glad I did. Still gets warm but it would be much worse if I did not have the gap.

Spare tire carrier is also Madigan. Works great and has room underneath for tool bags and other gear.

LED's are Baja Design. I have Rigid on my Rubicon and I like the BD lights better.

I carry a Pro eagle C02 jack and I also have a cheap motorhome scissor jack. Pro eagle is expensive but is small and light. The scissor jack is cheap but larger and heavier.

Tools: When I was building my car I figured out which tools I would need to carry to be able to fix stuff. Like Doug mentioned above, I carry a Milwaukee M12 impact. It woks well for changing tires and other bolts. Doug has a lot of this stuff figured out for the X3.

I would also recommend doing at least springs. Shock Therapy did my shocks (and steering rack) and it came back a completely different car. My stock springs were sagging at 300 miles.

Good luck!

As stated above, wait for show season, there is the big one in SoCal and a decent one at PIR here in the valley, most places run online specials around the same timeframe.

Personally, I consider Comms a must have- not only for in car communication but for group rides as well. Comms and good lighting (including a chase light) were at the top of my list when I built my car.

You talking about one of these? https://www.switchpros.com/. That would be a good addition as I am running out of room for the switches. Does anyone have images of where they placed them?

Not a canned ham, but just for reference.

They aren’t cheap ($600ish) but make wiring accessories clean and easy to configure.

There are some cheaper China versions available that will do the job for less, I like the SP because I can configure all of my lights via Bluetooth app, one touch on, double touch to flash or strobe, dimming, etc.

Alright so you guys pushing Shock Therapy I am listening. Looked up their website. So do they take your stock set up and rework it? Or is this a whole new system of springs and shocks?

Shock therapy is good. I’m a huge fan of DC shock services. They will take your shocks put new springs on and do internal valving and bypass tube adjustments.

I have the China version (auxbeam) it does all the same functions as the switch pros and has an app.

$400 for that version

As someone that’s had a few outfits work on shocks, go with DC. At least look into them. They are usually cheaper than Shock Therapy and they are in Havasu. So no shipping, and a couple day turnaround. I’ve been beyond impressed with their work. I don’t think you can go wrong with Shock Therapy, however it is not like they have anything magical either.

Kurt will get you new springs based on your needs and speeds and also revalve the current shocks on the car accordingly.

I’m happy to help you turn the knobs on the shocks and get it dialed in any case. There is a lot of adjustability in those shocks.

I did 5/2 Racelines mostly because I haven’t seen any in person like Methods on every car and I can’t stand when the face is flat with zero offset.

The big upside with ST is cheap labor if you are doing more than shocks. I had them do my shocks, sway bars and steering rack at the same time. The labor was basically free and they knocked it out in a day with a few guys working on it.
