PZA, Kens, Romanos, Red Barron. We don't care for Rosati’s.
I also recall the place near Safeway. Believe it was where T's and Treats is now. Their pizza was very good. Believe it was a father and son operation. Seems the father passed and the son was apparently not able to carry on. They were good. I'd forgotten about them.We concur, tried it one evening when Chico's was far to packed for my liking, we thought it was very good. We also really enjoy Rosatis.
There also used to be a small Italian food place kitty-corner-adjacent to Safeway, we tried once and it was amazing. Owner seemed to collect some real odd-ball shit and was rather eccentric, seems it's gone now ?
Papa Leones has good Italian sandwiches and the bread is always fresh.I want to try Rosatis the next time I’m out there.
Where is Papa Leone’s and do they just do pizza or ? I may check them out but I haven’t heard of them before.
The place next to Safeway was odd. They would run out of ingredients. Two times we went there and they said "no pizza tonight" as they were out of sauce.
The late afternoon my wife and I just happened to drop in there out of curiosity, we were the only customers. Having met and been engaged in some funny and interesting conversation with the proprietor, I'd believe it.The place next to Safeway was odd. They would run out of ingredients. Mother of God you have got to be kidding!Kens Pizza on Mesquite ave. across from Chicos where the best mexican food is!! Kens is good, damn good but costly, what isnt nowadays!!!!!!!!!
NSF
I'm most curious, is there an eating establishment in Lake Havasu, besides your own kitchen, that you do think is at least tolerable ??Mother of God you have got to be kidding!
My wife ordered a lg 2 topping pizza and a order of wings last month from Rosatis. She never asks or questions pricing etc. Anyways, I'm looking through my bank statement that month and that pizza and wings cost $78.00 fn dollars!!! I told her..are you out of your mind ..wouldve told them to get fucked and hung up. Insane. Never again!
We love Rosatis thin crust pizza and fi d it to be reasonably priced. Something went wrong on your order. Looking at their menue, the biggest, most loaded pizza is $29. Large wings are under $15. Gotta keep an eye on what these places charge for sureMy wife ordered a lg 2 topping pizza and a order of wings last month from Rosatis. I can eat a pizza from Rosatis on occasion, but they 90% get the order wrong so it's frustrating going there.I'm most curious, is there an eating establishment in Lake Havasu, besides your own kitchen, that you do think is at least tolerable ??
Since you brought it up, I’ve got to admit, I’ve been rather disappointed with Chicos since the new ownership took over, anybody else? Seems like the flavor has changed, who knows maybe it’s me.I can eat a pizza from Rosatis on occasion, but they 90% get the order wrong so it's frustrating going there.
I did eat at Chicos every now and then, but since they sold the food is swill at best.
I can't eat at la Dolce or whatever it's called because I'm afraid of that liitle guy that I guess owns it hair and getting one of those kinky things in my food, just can't do it..
I actually go to Vegas when I want to dine out.
Barley Bros claims wood-firedAre there any wood fired oven pizza places in Havasu?
PZA is wood fired. Are there any wood fired oven pizza places in Havasu?
That's Robbie at Dolce. Great guy. As far as I know, he doesn't handle the food.I can eat a pizza from Rosatis on occasion, but they 90% get the order wrong so it's frustrating going there.

Red Baron has great Pizza and also NFL Sunday Ticket for those that give a fuck anymore. We rotate between Mudshark's and Red Baron
PZA, the late afternoon we ended up at PZA, we only went because it was Taco-Tuesday or some such shit at Chicos and the place was packed. Walked into PZA and we were the only customers. Kinda wondered if there was a reason we weren't aware of . Figured WTF, the Pizza's looked interesting, so we stayed. After we ate and it was so tasty, then we were really curious, but impressed, so we'll be back for round 2 soon. There're a few decent pizzas in Havasu, most have already been mentioned, but my favorite by far is PZA Pizza. Not only are they one of the best values, they actually know how to cook a pizza, if you just like your cheese melted, like a couple I've seen in this thread, they may not be for you.
It's crap compared to what it used to be....imho.Since you brought it up, I’ve got to admit, I’ve been rather disappointed with Chicos since the new ownership took over, anybody else? Seems like the flavor has changed, who knows maybe it’s me.
I was trying to be nice. i’m gonna try it again one of these days just to see hopefully they’ve rectified the problem. It's crap compared to what it used to be....imho.
I'm not sure I have the correct info but was told the new owner is actually the original owner. Still seems pretty good to me.I was trying to be nice. i’m gonna try it again one of these days just to see hopefully they’ve rectified the problem.
Interesting, I went in a couple times, and it seemed like the food had no flavor anymore, maybe they had a new cook or something was off on those days. I’ll have to give it a try again.I'm not sure I have the correct info but was told the new owner is actually the original owner. Still seems pretty good to me.
I’m usually a Rosatti’s or Papa Leone’s girl but last week I tried the pizza at Armore’s Bakery (by the old Kmart building) and loved it! They don’t do pizza everyday so you gotta be in the know. Or watch their facebook page for the schedule. What’s the go to spot?
We’ve done rosattis. Any other spots we should look at. Looking for NY style
Thanks!
The yard bird is my favorite pizza from anywhere.PZA all the way! We split Caesar salad and yard bird and downed it with a beer today! Good chit man!
We do dolce to go, anymore I'd honestly rather get stuff and hang out at the house. They for some reason don't do artichoke dip to go....so I make my to go order at the side door, then walk to the bar, order it there to go, have a drink and by then it's all done lol. Robbie, and his family are good people.La Vita Dolce has been our go to place for many years. On our first visit a guy sitting out front began talking with us, we finally excused ourselves and went in to get our table. The guy, with somewhat longer hair who had been very talkative outside, had made his way inside and was now talking with the large group seated next to us. When we asked our sweetheart of a waitress what’s up with that guy? She chuckled, “Oh that’s just my Dad. He owns the place”. That was back in 2013. Robbie and his daughter are good people and run a great restaurant. Dolce to Go is just as good. We’ve never been disappointed.
Stopped going there when we found Saran Wrap cooked into an enchilada... that said...when I still would go there it's hands down better than exlax in the crap department....I could set a watch between eating there and painting the bowl. It's crap compared to what it used to be....imho.
We did what you told us to do….it better be good!!!!Drive to Quartzsite and try Silly Al’s Pizza. It is a dive but we pick up pizza on our way to the river frequently.
It might be the best pizza I have ever had.
<<<<<drove to the river today and picked up a to go order. So good.
Let’s try and get the thread back on track. Silly Al’s was close enough to Havasu and certainly there was pizza and it was really good. @Activated if you were concerned at all the is no need. Your recommendation was appreciate. 2 thumbs up & a snapI know it's a pizza thread! But if I drive to Quartzsite -- I'll stop at the "Grub Steak" for fish and chips/ Captains plate before anywhere else. NOTHING better around!
Meat lovers? That is what I get, my wife likes the BBQ chicken pizza.Let’s try and get the thread back on track.
