For the buck on a 1/2 drive electric impact, for Home use?

I'm thinking DeWalt?

What say you?

The one that matches all the batteries you already have
This is the reason I have a MAC gun...batteries are the same as DeWalt.
DeWalt does make, or did make, 2 half inch guns. One a bit more torque that the other.

I have the Dewalt DCF900. It'll hurt your wrist if you need to let it chew on something for a bit. Its rated at something like 1400ft/lbs and I believe it. If this won't get it off....it doesn't need to come off. I can't imagine why the hell anyone would ever need this unless they're working on tanks or something.

That said, it's a big heavy SOB. For normal day to day shit, the smaller DCF891 is more than enough....it'll do anything your pnuematic 1/2" gun will do and more, much lighter weight and managable.

I hate TTI so I'd never consider Milwaukee, Rigid, or Ryobi.

I have some worthless makita and ridgid battery powered tools still laying around the house. All obsolete.! But my corded saws and drills that are much older all still work great.

I love the convenience of the battery powered tools. But only for stuff I use on a regular basis. In my case a screw drill and small impact.

Still dragging out cords and air hoses on occasion when needed.

Not the same quality as those mentioned but for basic home use the kobalt at Lowe’s is on sale $149 for impact, batt, charger, bag
Nothing wrong with that Kobalt at all. I have both DeWalt and Milwaukee tools. Two or three years ago, I bought the 24 volt Kobalt because of a friends recommendation. Glad I did. That thing is a beast. She don't mess around either. I got mine around Christmas time that year on sale, and I believe I paid 99 dollars for the tool, battery, charger, and a carrying bag.
Good luck OP. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever choice you make...Merry Christmas !

I have a couple of the Harbor Freight "Hercules" tools. I am surprised how robust they are. I am normally going Bosch when I can. But damn, it is hard to beat those HF prices.

I've got makita stuff. It works just fine.

If i wasn't tied to the battery and charger system i have, i would be running Milwaukee...
