Handel's for the win. Reason there is a 30 minute line on summer nights.

Been years but my 31 flavors go to was daiquiri ice. There is one next to the taco cart I frequent. But have not splurged.
Me too. It’s been my flavor since I was a little kid.

My kids went to an amazing charter school here in Redlands. A couple of their upper classemen started a gourmet ice cream shop downtown. They make their own using liquid nitrogen, and have since before the craze really began. They searched for a long time to find a dairy to make "the base" to their specifications.
Tiny little store in the most expensive area of downtown. They are killing it. Always a line even in cold weather, ridiculous in the summer. $10 pints.

Growing up I used to fly back to my extended family's houses in New York and stay for the summer. My favorite memory to this day is riding my big wheel down to Carvel and getting a vanilla soft serve covered with sprinkles. I swear I can still remember how the store smelled and the texture of the ice cream covered with sprinkles.

This thread is funny I live walking distance to a BR for 29 years never once been in there once however there is a rite aid in the same shopping center and I have been there for ice cream (Thrifty's) then a few years back a DQ opened, and I prefer them and their blizzards with the granddaughter or a soft serve cone.

But growing up how about a nice Balboa bar or a chocolate covered banana on the island? My childhood memories growing up at the beach.

BR pints are only about $5 at the store. I get them or whatever sounds good at the time. I usually have 6+ pints to pick from at anytime.
Though the Mexican ice cream places are really the best anymore.

The 31 Flavors in Cypress next to Target closed last month. That was my go to.

That place is good. The nitrogen means zero ice crystals, it’s like buttah. Yeah it’s pricey. I don’t go there all the time.
