Mini mods, whatever they’re called. I used to buy these in a 14” for like $40 each….20 years ago lol.

I’m seeing $130+ now.

Any hookups?

Someone has to have a set of take offs.

I do, but they're rusted to shit now from being outside.

lol. If it was '70s boat....all day, slots or turbines.

They'd look stupid on this....like Methods on a K5 ;)
Coming from a guy that drives a tomato soup colored turd Yoda. I’ll take that as a compliment..

Real chrome wheels are getting harder to find, especially here in Kommiefornia. Even the local trailer shop was phasing them out.

I bought a set from JEGS and they were $145 a piece, but they’re real chrome. They’re made by US Wheels in Huntington Beach.

But, the price has gone up since a year ago……Bidenflationomics

I know it's a different wheel design than what you currently have, but here's what I've been collecting for an upcoming build.

I scoop these up whenever I find them cheap on eBay or Craigslist. They are 15"x7.5" with a 5x5.5" bolt pattern. They usually start out looking something like this....

....and they end up looking like this. Just takes some time and a little effort. 👍

I think they'll work just fine for my intended use. 😎

Best looking trailer rim I’ve seen. Are they Alcoa’s off Ford trucks?

Yes Sir, and I agree with you 100%! Once they are polished, they look incredible! The bolt pattern is fairly standard and hubs are readily available. 👍

I've got 1 with a brand new tire on it... you pick it up in Havasu... you can have it! tired of tripping over it.

Here’s my deal…rims look like shit…but that’s kinda how I roll so that’s not the primary concern. Rims are old, tires are 5 years old…no issues until I got it home last year….sat in the driveway for a month while I fiddled, then I pushed it back in the corner and the next day 2 tires on side are flat. WTF? Aired ‘em up, next day they’re flat. Pulled ‘em off, gave ‘em the soapy water treatment, no bubbles….put ‘em back on, next day they’re flat….but only on one side of the trailer.

While I like mysteries, I don’t like them to occur on rice road while some asshole in an F350 on 37s is passing 50 cars while I’m broke down on the shoulder…so I’ve decided it might be wise to simply buy 4 NEW wheels and tires…

I can’t figure out where the fuck they’re leaking from, but they won’t hold air more than 12 hours. Maybe I need to sneak up on ‘em at night with a squirt bottle, I dunno.

Maybe it’s time to put new axles and Dolly wheels on it…might finally be able to polish the sides of the boat for once…lol.

Not in the mood to make this more difficult than it needs to be, but as usual, that’s the way things are headed.

Premire tire in Norwalk used to make any offset you want while you wait for like $50.
I'm sure they still sell them just no sure on price

I'm sure they can't do chrome plating on site....there are very few willing to deal with hexavalent chromium anymore....I know one that does, but I need to bring him something to plate...

I think I'll just butter mine up with bead sealer goo and put in new valve stems. Although I'm not sure I trust those either....I ordered up a couple boxes of Milton brand brass tube valve stems.....made in China. I won't use china rubber in my caliper seals, I don't know why reputable companies consider that shit for something as critical as a valve stem.

To find air leaks use the stuff that kids blow bubbles with i buy at least a quart every year at Walmart it stays around longer and I have found brass fittings with fuzzy little bubble piles after 15 minutes way more porous than I would have guessed
I have been thinking about getting rid of my wheels and tires on my boat tires are about 6 years old with 500 miles and are holding air from 5 years ago
I was going to upgrade to 15 inch because last time good 14 inch tires were hard to find I have a set of 5 with the spare
I will check discount tire tonight and see what upgrading is going to cost

Did you happen to check the valve stems? Might be brittle with hairline cracks..... 🤷

Yes, I could get a few bubbles out of ‘em if I basically folded them against the rim…but just sitting there, no leaks.

I had centerlines on a boat trailer that were leaking at the welded seam. Little tiny porous holes from metal degradation. Took a minute to find because it wasn’t the tire but instead the rim. I had them welded up and all good until I sold the boat.
