I remember watching a vid of that boat and the guy put his hands on the header while tuning the carb. I was so confused.

Not exactly. The original hull was built with a surface drive but they could never get it to run right so it was converted to an I/O. Something happened to the hull and it was replaced by the hull that is now for sale. The original hull build would have been around 08 - 09 when Eliminator was at their big building.

We went to the Drag Boat finals in Phoenix around that time frame and they had that boat in a booth.

I believe the original hull hit a submerged log or an underwater stump and was totalled.
