Bad day at Windsor

Have you tried it with a front end tow hitch.... I tried to launch our 23 Malibu with our old TJ rear tow and it drug it......pulled it out fine... My buddy uses a front hitch and launches his 25 magic with his TJ no problem...steep ramp at our place...

5 years at moonridge and I never launched the Ultra with anything except the JK 2 door and that ramp gets slippery.

I had a front hitch for putting the jeep back up the driveway and into the garage but never used it at the ramp. I was always concerned reverse was the weakest gear on an automatic and pulling backwards was asking for trans trouble IDK

And as for your wife not wanting to share……She is kicking ass by just helping launch. We all have a brain fart from time to time. I am getting better but from time to time I go full retard mode. I could not back up for the life of me yesterday. But then again @LargeOrangeFont got to see my mad skills first hand. Some how @DWC keeps me on point and I have kept my shit together

I am most definitely lucky to have a wife that can park the truck and trailer for me. She is still working on being able to go get the truck and back the trailer all the way down the ramp. I have had my fair share of oops moments over the years so I am pretty chill most of the time. She gets anxiety as soon as we pull up to the launch ramp though so I have to be the calm one. LOL
I did put my boat on the trailer at a 45 degree angle out at Mohave this summer. Damn wind got the best of me while I was getting her lined up. Pretty embarrassing but I was able to just man handle it straight and wench it up...

JK was a heavier wider platform... I used to launch 23' Malibu with a 4 door JK no issue...would expect a 2 door to do lighter boats. I used my 2 door JL to launch 22 Liberator no problem.... Even pulled a 25' Mastercraft out with the 2door JL...I would not launch though..

I’ll never understand the lack of humanity when bad shit happens to normal folks, just out to enjoy a day of boating.

My super quiet, super diminutive wife asked me “why in THE FUCK, aren’t these people helping us” when I had to load my Skater, in the wind, on one engine. (Twice).

I was hollering at them for someone to please stand on the islander dock, they just stood there . Had it gotten bad, I’m sure it would have made its way on here.

Two of the waiting trucks had RDP stickers on them.

Loading my boat with 2 is ok as long as everything is normal.

I have offered our help a multitude of times and have had the majority appreciate of our assistance. Have had a minority look at us like “what the fuck?. We sat back and watched the show. If that happens going forward, I guess I will make them famous on Instagram?
