Some people just always have super nice first class stuff.. Joe Mitchell is one of those guys, apparently toy his kid is as well.

Eric is doing some minor upgrades to the trailer for him before the boat is shipped to Germany where he lives.

This thing is bad ass

This is my plan with the hondo pantera I picked up. How does it run with the 2.5.? Exact set up 15 inch mid and all.
Don't know, I am supposed to meet up with Joe later this month and go for a ride (Lol, I have been barking up that tree since march)

I have a bunch of pix of it when Wide Open Throttle delivered to Parker. @Wonsley66 can answer your questions about the performance.

Yep, I believe that was the same boat that ended up on the docks a few years back.

I actually saw it last year in temecula being pulled by a silver f150. That gmt was a bitchin boat if I remember correctly it had some bitchin one off extended steering g column

I don't want to derail this thread any further, but that GMT is and was one of my all-time favorite boats on the Parker Strip. When it went up for sale, I was already knee deep in my Howard project and my wife wasn't going to "OK" another boat. It's beautiful though!!

Back to the Cole.....

Right there with you, I had a hallett vector at the time and couldn't swing both boats at the time.

...anyways, like you said, back on track

4 lug and the centers look to have fresh weld marks around the barrels. Tires are 13", so one-off?? At first I was thinking golf cart, but I'm not sure....

According to Joe who has a long history with the boat it’s a Hi-Tech. If it’s a splash or uses parts of the Cole mold I can’t remember, but looks identical. We did 90% of the rigging and assembled the boat with the 200xs Opti

Hull looks amazing. That motor looks to be a factory SS with Sporty so does that make it the 200XS ROS model, say around 2011 2012.

Direct quote from Joe Mitchell this morning:

"Boat is a Hi Tech by Lange it was originally the Cole #1 mold it was layed up and capped at Joes in tool and die in 85 the hull is paint no matching original gel color the rear fiberglass hatch is gel coat , Scott Stephan’s painted the boat in Havasu the color sand touch up and and buff were done at Franks in Havasu as welll. Trailer is the original Ellis the fenders are original we’re restored by Silver Artistic Plating in Signal Hill it had 14s originally I had the 13s custom made as the low pro 14s don’t exist . Inside WOT had the stringers replaced and built the electric hatch then blue printed the bottom steering and pedals are WOT Russell tanks and gas fills are original with a cross over added the aluminum on the transom is original when the shiort shaft motor was added the original motor bracket was shortened with original transom braces seats are Scott Steele upholstered in Parker painted by Stephan’s .Billy B found it and sold it I contacted him and he worked a deal so my Son Robert could get it back ."

He also states the boat is not going to Germany, it will remain here in a climate controlled private storage.

Wheeler posted a photo of the GMT part way down the page. Post #12. I drove that boat once in some crappy water when Dennis owned it. I think it may have originally been Howard Haig's, then Ron Holman.

Those are probably the best modern option for wheels for our trailers. I have 13" Westerns and 14" Indy slot mags. Those 205/60/13 tires werent that hard to find either from someone other than BFG

Did Joe say why they cancelled shipping the boat to Germany?

Gotcha.. I drove that boat a few times when Dennis owned it as well. I was always amazed at how well it took rough water.

Joes boat is out if the Cole mold, it’s 18’ with a Delta pad if I remember right.

The GMT is a 20’ that was laid up as a vdrive and built as an outboard. Pretty sure it’s a 4 stringer boat and built like a tank.

Here’s some pics before it went to WOT.
