This place has good reviews, and my son is soon to be buying a house in the area, so when I decided to impulse buy a Husky te300i yesterday I called to verify they had a couple recent arrivals in stock. Sales guy was fairly knowledgeable, and said there are "no deals whatsoever" other than list + fees which totaled around 13 grand. I said lets do it and gave CDL # , Az address, credit card #, and authorized the deposit. He had the parts guy call me later so I could order a steering stabilizer, skid plate, radiator braces, etc. This morning I'm waiting on an inspector and sales guy calls and says, " Very very sorry my friend, but the owner is going to cancel your sale. We never charged your card yesterday (which I didn't check because I assumed they did) . The owner has received interest from enough local Phoenix guys on these bikes , and won't sell it to you because you are currently showing Ca. residency and lic. " Then the parts guy calls a few minutes later giving me an update on lead times and availability on the parts 🤣.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily disagree with the policy in a general sense, but let me know up front motherfuckers so as not to waste my time. The irony is, I was born right by there and we used to live close by for years lol..... not that it should really matter. Needless to say, whoever owns this place can suck a dick, and may the supply chain get back to normal sooner than later so their competitors can eat into their profits. I just picked up a ktm 300 out the door for $10,500 this morning locally here in Cen Cal. but it isn't white....yet -

What happened to old school? Make the deal, sell the product, move on to the next? It's not that we're dealing with touchy items to another country... American dollars are the same in AZ and Cali still, aren't they?

What they told you and why they actually canceled on you, in this pricing climate, are highly likely very different.😏

Yeah he probably sold it to someone else for an extra $500 or $1k. I don’t know what you could have done differently other than paying in full and having your son go pick it up asap

Anyplace that says I have to pay full pop can bite my bag!!!

I'll wait a month or two and find some turd who is selling what I wanted private party. I'll let him pay full price and install all the aftermarket crap that I wanted anyway.

I ain't paying no tax to DICK HEAD Biden OR giving money to a dealership!!

Exactly, I was pissed this morning but it's done..... But buyer beware. I tell a lot of people each week we can't or won't do their project straight up, so him telling me the boss' nephew wants it , or a customer was willing to pay way over sticker price would've been easier to take than using the reason that I currently don't "live" in Az. The funniest part is, I 100% guarantee there's 3x or more Biden voters in the actual city limits of Phoenix alone than the entire voting population of SLO county here in Ca. which was close to 50/50 sniffer voters ....supposedly. It's just a bad sign when we turn on our own.

I'm not in the ballpark of dealing with new stuff. To me though, this is no different than making a deal with someone on a used car, and selling it out from under them for a few hundred bucks. Just plain not cool.

As for sniffer votes down there, I'm not super familiar with the area. I live out here in the sticks. We have more than our fair share of leftwing fuktards, but the density is lower. I believe there are more of them on the other side of our valley though, which may be why I stay in the sticks.

Those guys are generally pretty good when I go in, way better than ride now. But you are right saying yes then no is BS. I’m sure with nationwide inventory shortages they are accustom to handing out of state inquiries

Would it have anything to do with the new Cali dirt bike laws on certain bikes and getting him in trouble for selling to a Cal resident? IDK

That dealer just sold me a new YZ 250, loaded it up in the bed of my truck and before I left i noticed there was not a front axle nut installed. The owner is a prick, But he is just a fat old man in a office chair

I had nothing but great luck working with the GM Geoff over at Moto City when I lived in AZ.

Sad to hear it’s went down the shitter. But to be honest with you the KTM is a nicer bike and has a much better resale value. So it was a win win.
