State Farm just dropped two of my vehicles due to two windshield claims over the last 5 years. One claim with State Farm (last October) and one with Farmers (years ago). I’m looking for a solid agent in Phoenix area that can cover an umbrella with homes and cars and boats please. No State Farm or Farmers. Any recommendations? I know there are a few agents on the board, but believe most are in CA?

Something doesn't sound right with that

I hope that’s not the whole story, I just turned in a glass claim with SF for the windshield on my RV. If you don’t mind, who is or was your AZ SF agent?

Agreed. My agent says he is “working on it and I may have to drop my glass and increase my deductibles”.
Total BS. He’s also stating there is a lot of fraud with glass places charging and making claims on work that was never done, so glass is a huge issue right now.
I’m moving on from State Farm…

It’s the whole story. No other claims in over 25 years, and no at fault accidents… ever. Never a homeowner claim. I have a clean class A CDL.
I’m not going to out him just yet. He needs to do his job, but I’m still going to shop around and get away from SF.

Dang, now I’m worried. I asked several times before I turned in my claim and my agent assured me I would be fine.

Is your insurance on an Arizona registered vehicle(s)? Is the policy "location" in Arizona?

The only reason I ask, is that Arizona law requires Insurance Companies to provide glass coverage, including a zero deductible option. You cannot "drop" glass coverage, unless you go from a zero deducible plan, to one that falls under your comprehensive deductible.

It's also illegal for an insurance company to raise your rates or drop you, solely due to glass claims. If that's what they're doing, you need to contact the AZ Dept of Insurance & Finance:

Thank you! This is exactly what they are doing. Everything is in AZ.

Why turn in windshield replacement to your insurance? Just begging to get dragged over the coals.

Well, because I pay for windshield insurance? You think I should pay for it but never use it? It’s a no fault claim, and a Q7 windshield is expensive. They know that and charged me accordingly. I had 1 replacement in three years with SF and six months AFTER the claim they drop my two most recently purchased cars. Not even the one the claim was on.
I’m the one that’s wrong here?

In the past 8 years I've had 3 repairs and 1 replacement with SF haven't heard anything, I do have everything I own with them and for many years. I'm hoping the repave on 95 improves the windshield problem. I know you're pissed and don't blame you, but I think I'd push the agent or another to rectify this.

Another vote to Jeremy Mueller. 2Driver referred me to him in late 2024 when I was adding a new driver to my policies. I had been with AmFam for 20 years and never really shopped them until they have me a quote to add the new driver.

I ended up moving my homeowners, 4 cars, and adding an umbrella policy through State Farm at a fair rate. Fortunately I haven't needed to use the insurance, but the response and service from Jeremy was great.

I go through a windshield replacement at least once a year. I have the full/100% coverage on glass on both mine and the wife's car. I always go with Safelite, since they seem to be the best at scheduling, and can come to me. Plus, they're the recommended glass company by Progressive. Never had an issue. I report the claim/damage via the Progressive app or website, get an immediate claim and authorization number for the replacement. I can usually get an appointment within a few days, and the only delays are if they don't have the specific windshield in stock at the Havasu store. But even then, they get it in and make the appt within a week.
