need any part time labor?
Yeah they’re great. We use them for everything up to about a 70” screen and we’ve had good luck with themGreat thread, thanks for sharing.
I really like that flush mount bracket. I wish I would have known about those for my new build.

For us it would actually be nice if the box was just a little bit bigger though... by the time the mount folds up in there it doesn’t leave much room for equipment
For us most of our projects have video distribution so it’s just a few cat6 to the tv but we have to put an hdmi extender in there. It receives a signal from our video matrix, allows for tv control, audio return to the rack, networking etc. very coolI can sympathize with that.
So how many wires do you normally pull into that, a couple HDMI cables, power and an optical audio cable?
Which restaurant at Westfield Mall. We did a few and just finishing St. Marc. Here’s a couple 165” projection screens we are putting up at a new bar in Little Italy. These will be paired with 13k lumen Christie Laser projectors.

This one will also have a pretty killer sound system. (This one and the next one are not complete.

That one is going in another Crack Shack. It's on the SE side over by Nordstroms.Which restaurant at Westfield Mall. We did a few and just finishing St. Marc.
Unfortunately, there's no trick. For the projection, we use ambient light rejecting screens that only reflect the light coming from the projector and not anything from the sides/above/below.Zach, what's the trick to keep outside light from reflecting on the screens?
Glad it's all working outthanks, I was hoping there was an easy, low cost way....Never is.....Just like my initial budget for the system you put together for me - that kept growing! LOL
Thanks btw, we really enjoy the flexibility and sound quality...
Shoot me a quick floorplan of what you are adding and I can tell you what I would do.
Are you looking for a motorized screen? Are you wanting to flush mount it in the lid? Speakers mounted in ceiling? What is ceiling material? Where are you going to put your sources and the receiver/amp?
No concerns about moisture in the UG 4"duct?
Probably a non issue if no pull boxes and all under house slab.
Always like checking out your projects clean work is always worth the $$.It’s always a concern, but we don’t have any options on this particular project.
There’s no pull boxes and both sides sweep up into the house so as long as it’s glued properly we should be fine
Thanks man, it’s a lot more work up front but it’s worth it in the end.Always like checking out your projects clean work is always worth the $$.
I’ve yet to have an AV contractor tell me I installed too big of a conduit lol

Origin makes good stuff, we don't carry their line but it sounds like a you've got a good setup specified there. Are you doing surrounds in the walls or freestanding?Hey what do you think of Origin Acoustics in-ceiling speakers?
I prolly should have asked before ordering them...getting an Atmos setup with Director Series D65s with a D85 8” center and D59 atmos channels.
Running an existing, older Energy 10” 400w sub...and Denon AVRX1400 receiver FWIW

You'll probably end up wanting to upgrade that sub with all the new speakers but it really depends what levels you are wanting to run at. It won't be able to keep up with louder scenes.
Gotcha, so you are planning on running the front stage like normal, and then do you just have two other in ceilings you are going to run as your height (Atmos) channels directly overhead? If so, I would try them as both Atmos channels and surround channels and see what you like better.Everything will be in-ceiling.
I know it’s a compromise but wife doesn’t want anything on walls, and half the walls are brick (it was an older addition so my interior walls are actually exterior walls) so they’d look goofy.
Hoping the receiver can help correct for some of this...

Yeah Emotiva is really solid. The price point is great and it’s clean power, I’ve been happy with it. The only thing it’s missing is a gain adjustment per ch on their multi-ch amps.I still dabble in the A/V biz here and there have been impressed with the Emotiva equipment I spied in your pics for the $$$. Just finished a saloon with 140" screen but they didn't go with a lazer projector and now they regret it. Had to have the ole "I told you so" talk .
