So if you live in breathe this go fast shit like I do then you know that Aussie’s know how to go fast on both land and water and I’m always watching them on those rivers hauling ass with and without skiers and just about every single v drive boat has fins on the outside of their cav plates like below. I’ve been pondering this for a while now and thinking about bending some up on the brake.

The real question i have is what are they trying to cure with it?

assuming some chine issues? Maybe its something i'm not fully processing, but thats all i can come up with.

and if thats the case, why not fix the issues with the hull instead of doing it this way?

I don’t think it’s a band-Aid because I see it on a lot of them. I think it just aids in high speed stability.

Man I couldn't agree with you more and I am hooked watching the Aussies. It would be cool to see one of these run the GN class in here in the states

I don't recall how many years it's been, but they sent a few over here for some demonstration races. I've lived in Parker nearly 10 years, I guess it was when I was first out here. One even came to test at my place to use my launch ramp. I guess they were hoping the boats would catch on here and they could sell some. The ones they sent over were running 2nd hand Nascar Dodge engines they were buying and turning 9000 rpm.
