I look at these with a eye for potential. Even after 30+ years of jet boat services , we still love a project One just needs to look past the grime and corrosion , As you get further into it let us know if we can help . One thing to maybe consider it one of My converted Panther drives , we have built hundreds now

Thank you sir but this thing is beyond any level of restoration I want to get involved in. I'm actually taking your previous advice from my Spectra rebuild thread. I dragged this home for the Chevy engine to eventually replace the Olds that's currently in my Spectra. I plan to reach out for one of your engine rail kits

Fuck ya! Thanks.

I was 5 1/2 when my grandma, dad's mom, was killed in a freak car accident. She was half Cherokee from Oklahoma and she would watch me 3 days a week. She was a smoker and would leave her lit cigarette on the tile countertop in the kitchen and I'd sneak a puff now and then. She saw me and mentioned it to my parents and suggested that I should learn the proper way to smoke. I'm still amazed to this day but they agreed. So we were smoking buddies. When my folks got the news of the accident they dropped me off at my aunt and uncles and went to the hospital to see her. I don't remember if they actually were able to talk to her before she died. Back at my aunt and uncles uncle Bill and I went to get some burgers in his bad ass '55 chevy, bad ass for 1961. We were going through an intersection and a driver ran a red light, uncle Bill jammed on the brakes and kneeling on the front seat I was launched like a missile through the windshield. I have no memory of it and was recently talking to my aunt about it. She's the last one of that generation I have left, and said 'well you did have a pretty serious concussion'. The first of several.
It cracked me up as a teenager just how pissed my parents would get when I would smoke. 'Grandma taught me with your permission!' It's a habit I still struggle with. Can go a decade without it. Bum one out drinking and it's back on.

So the first time I actually quit smoking was in August 1961. Fucking monkey's been tracking me down for 64 years.

How was that one?

Any chance of getting a pic of the ID plate by the shifter? Wonder if dad rigged it.
Here ya go!

Wasn't sure what year it was and was hoping to see dad's initials on it. We were log gone from Tahiti by '82, I was at Roger's and dad went to work for Pennzoil after things took a shit in the late 70's.
Thank you for the pic.
This is the first Boss 21, pics taken in our driveway. Don't remember the model's name but years later her pic reminded me of MImi on the Drew Carey show.

My thought was to drag it out to the River and place it at the Cienega Springs shooting range on the way to the Desert Bar.
Lotta Big Iron out there to fill it full of holes.

Was looking at the pics @Clank123 posted of that hull and the pics I have of the first one. Some subtle changes through the years. The first Boss obviously a splash of the Spectra but I like the way the deck had the roundness removed and slight point added on @redone76 new pride and joy. The bustle was changed too, I like it and the original.

Kinda funny what I've forgotten about shit like that, it's like I'm getting old or something.

Consider them yours bud!
It was good meeting you this weekend! Thank you for the deal on the tanks too! It'll take a little work to get them to fit, but I think they'll work out great. 👍
