I will say you guys are scaring me a bit with all the stories about attitude but if they really are that Bad I wouldn't think they could stay in business

That's funny...

Weekend Warrior stayed in business for Ages! And all their trailers are crap.

Ask me how I know? I own one. šŸ‘Ž

I've fixed everything myself. It's currently held together with duct tape and zip ties.

You want a toy hauler for occasion use? Rent one. And be happy!

Some dealers add those items on. I know ours added the additional 2 dry cell batteries to ours, but solar/ inverter was all ready installed.

Donā€™t think the dealer will care if you pass, they could sell it for more. Wondering if you build again if you get the same price though.

I think they will honor the price manufacturer had a build sheet and just did what they wanted so thats not on us

I donā€™t think they make white fiberglass right now. I havenā€™t seen a white attitude for a very long time.

As some of you know I have been doing allot of shopping for toy haulers.

Here is a question I have.
If Attitude is so good

If Genesis is so good (Iā€™m still considering it)

Why donā€™t they offer 3yr structure warrantyā€™s?

Heartland
Keystone
Dutchmen

All have 3yr structure warranty.

Right now im leaning Dutchmen.

Not trying to hurt any feelings.... but Genesis is absolutely the worst company to deal with !!! Getting parts is a nightmare, build quality is subpar, just like the rest of them. Anything on a Lippert chassis will have a failure at some point, unfortunately 98% are built on their chassis.

Now is the worst time to buy, build quality has always been an issue but now they are pumping them out so fast to meet demand that the build quality is beyond bad.... just a heads up, If you buy one now, you better be handy and be ready to fix stuff yourself...otherwise it will sit at the shop for months on end waiting on parts/warranty authorization. We have stopped doing warranty repair, absolute pain in the ass !!!

I have a 2014 Attitude 32 IGB (no slides) It's given me very little problems but I also went in and braced up problem areas before they became an issue, it's huge for a tow behind (37') but tows like its not even there. Its stored inside and looks new but like any of them, it's still a trailer and if your expecting them to be built like a rocket ship.... your going to be highly disappointed !!

We decided the gray looks better with
I took the decals off of my last trailer. So glad I did. After a few years the decals will be shot.

Iā€™m not sure what I want to do on my next trailer. I donā€™t want them but man what a pain in the ass.

Zero chance of me buying an Attitude. Thanks for thinking of me.
Jim Tuck and I had a long conversation yesterday morning. He wants me to buy from him and I want to buy from him. Just need to get a 3016iks configured the way we want and itā€™s a done deal.
He gave me a approximate price depending on exact options. And I will be happy to pay that price.

He even gave me a couple industry inside stories that might shake up a few things.

He also told me to avoid the hydraulic leveling on shorter trailers. For some reason it has to be reset more often but the bigger the trailer the better it seems to work.

Its easy to spend other peoples money, lol

We looked at Attitudes for a couple of yrs at rv shows and felt the fit and finish lacked from the price they were asking.....The wiring looked like Stevie Wonder did it, don't get me wrong, if Stevie had one eye brother then he did my trailer, but its far better than the Attitudes.

If something cross my path I'll post it..

Copied from another site.

Sad post ladies and gentlemen,

Im going to share 2 writeups, one from Kevin Flores and one from Attitude. But first Ill share my own thoughts....

I started buying attitude toy haulers in 2005, and have owned probably 15 since then. I used to purchase many from our local dealer here Family van in north phoenix. Back then it was small dealers selling this niche product to our west coast users. The brand grew as all did during the good times, and quite frankly one of the only ones that didnt die during the down economy in 2008... They were always pushing the line of design and floor plans. Fast forward to 2019 when Kevin and I collaborated on a new floor pan and Dallen signed off on naming it after me, I was pretty stoked. Ive met and hung with Dallen on many occasions and was always ready to just listen. And talk this man could do! Anyone that knew him knows what im talking about. Today I learned some things I did not know, he was in Vietnam and is a war veteran which makes him a hero. He came from the bottom and it not only did not stop him but its what drove him.. So with that id like to send my deepest condolences to the family, the company and those around him.. Rest in peace Dallen Trealoff. Im thankful for knowing you.

From Kevin Flores, national sales manager for Attitude Rv
Itā€™s with great sadness I have to let everyone know of the passing of Dallen Trealoff. Writing this is hard for me as i am grieving and still in shock. Everyone who knew Dallen knew he was like Superman in the sense of pulling through and continuously accomplishing new goals of his. A true real life James Bond and someone I truly aspire to be like. Dallen touched many lives and most people he met, heā€™d pushed them to achieve their goals and make new dreams and goals to push towards. His passion to succeed without any excuses was infectious and thatā€™s what pushed me to break through higher limits. Some of his passions were cars, planes, dogs, working out, guns and his beautiful grandchildren. Whenever we werenā€™t talking about business he was always talking about his next adventures and what he wanted to do with his family. The stories Dallen would tell got us all thinking that a lot of the impossible ideas we had could actually come to life. It was Dallen and Joanneā€™s dream to build this business together and that is what he pushed towards.

Dallen started in the RV industry right when he came back from Vietnam and stuck with the industry for over 50 years. Dallen was one of the founders of the Toyhaulers here on the west coast. He would go to Glamis in the 70ā€™s and 80ā€™s with a small VW sand car and try to hit all the dunes. His love and passion for Toyhaulers and pushing the market was something he was really devoted to. Dallen would come up with ideas from floor plans, to modified cabinetry to fit larger vehicles, to an all Electric Toyhauler that would run completely off of solar and batteries. This passion is what pushed our company to be successful. We will continue to push his dreams as this is what he wished for.

From Attitude

ā€œDallen Trealoff passed away Saturday, September 5, surrounded by his wife Joanne, daughter Sarah, son in law Julien, two grandsons Sebastian and Wesley, and grand-daughter Remington. Dallen was a friend and mentor to many in the RV and toy hauler industry, and he found real meaning in life through his familyā€™s love and his career. Dallenā€™s life is remarkable when you look at where he started and contrast it with where he ended up, and what he learned along the way. Dallen was born in 1948, and his home life as a young man was as tough as it gets, so as a teenager he chose to be homeless and live out of his car, where it was more peaceful than living at home. Next, he chose to serve our country in Vietnam from age 18 to 21. On returning to civilian life, he made his way into the toy hauler and RV industry, where he became the top salesman on the west coast for the better part of two decades. During that phase of his career, he chose to solve the geographic distance between dealerships by just flying his own plane to meet with and mentor his major dealers and friends throughout the industry.

Flying his own plane across the country while setting sales records resulted in his friends in the industry giving Dallen the early nickname ā€œā€Trailer Dog.ā€ Dallenā€™s friendship, mindset and mentoring is illustrated by one of Dallenā€™s favorite and well known quotes:

ā€œDonā€™t tell me what I canā€™t do until Iā€™ve done it.ā€

This attitude played a big role in Dallenā€™s ability to see that it was time to open his own toy hauler design, engineering and manufacturing business in Southern California in the early 2000s. He opened the business with his wife Joanne, and created the most successful toy hauler design and manufacturing brand on the west coast, from scratch, using his own money. Really nothing slowed him down, not even a difficult jury trial involving a larger competitor, he simply took the witness stand, testified, won the trial and kept moving forward, and brought the ā€œAttitudeā€ line of toy haulers into the field. While most competitors are far behind on technology and ā€œgreenā€ design, Dallen simply decided that Eclipse would be the first toy hauler to go entirely ā€œgreen.ā€ Eclipse toy haulers are no longer reliant on the fumes or pollution inherent in diesel generators and plug in electric power. Instead, and through sheer force of will and years of trial and error, Eclipse toy haulers now use solar energy and lithium batteries to power fully off the grid air conditioned units with LED lighting. Most competitors are still in the relative dark ages when it comes to energy efficient green design, but due to Dallen, Eclipse toy haulers are now entirely self sustaining, using only solar power to recharge every day, without fumes, without a plug in, and with mini split air conditioning to make the experience civilized.

The balance and love in his life was provided by his wife Joanne, and his daughter Sarah, his son in law and two grandsons and granddaughter. Weekends during the past six years were spent with his close tribe, and grandchildren that are now 2, 4 and 6. In the end, the man Dallen Trealoff, who started out choosing to be homeless due to a tough family life, and then took on the Vietnam war, built a loving family and the most successful toy hauler design and manufacturing business on the west coast. He will be missed deeply, by many, and cannot be replaced. Along the way during his life journey, his friends and the men he mentored in the field joked that perhaps his nickname ā€œTrailer Dogā€ should reverse the letters in dog so that his new nickname late in life was ā€œTrailer God.ā€ As his friend, I can see the Dallen, the Trailer God, casually driving his Ferrari to now meet the other God. May he rest in peace, I spoke with him a week ago, and he was planning his conquest and his ascent until his last breath. I miss him.

ā€œLifeā€™s an adventure, take your attitude ā€œ

@bldrinker ....and i was just looking at an Attitude toyhauler online yesterday, should i look at something else?
There are plenty of people that are happy with Attitude. Iā€™m not trying to bash them, Iā€™m sure it seems I am.
From first hand experiences and the way Kevin Flores treated me. The brand is just not for me.

I believe earlier in this post I complained that Genesis should have a 3yr warranty. I still stand behind that statement. After giving them a second look I am trying very hard to find the model I want with the options I want.

In no particular order you should look at.
Heartland
Keystone
Dutchmen
Genesis/Vortex

Cruiser RV Stryker didnā€™t bad either. The newer the better though.

Appreciate the feedback. We're early in the process. This thread and the work you all are doing to prep the tow rigs will save me some headaches!

Yesterday I was just thinking. Iā€™m super stupid for doing all of this.

Why am I spending all of this money to go camping. It makes no sense at all.
Sold a truck that was basically brand new and paid off and bought a used truck. Will spend about 3k setting it up to tow and Iā€™m buying a bigger trailer after selling the last one so I could down size.

All so the wife and kids are happy.
