Anyone heard anything about Armor Fence in Lake Havasu recently? They we making my stairway and balcony railings, everything was going great until two weeks ago. For two weeks I have been calling daily and getting no answer. Left voice messages each time and no call back. Even been emailing them every other day with no response. I really do not want to drive four hours just to find out what is going on so I thought I would check with the brain trust first. Anyone heard anything about them recently?

yea, they just installed some gates for me last week

I had some issues getting through as well, I think they're short staffed like everyone these days. I'd have to call at random times in the morning to get through.

Thank you, I appreciate the offer. I am not in too big of a rush. I will be in town in a couple weeks, if I haven't heard from them by then I will go by there. I was more just wondering if I will still be getting my railings.

They're slow. Had a 6 week gate turn into a 4 month gate. They will produce eventually. Everybody is super slammed and behind everywhere. Patience is the name of the game in the construction world right now.

Totally, I had the same situation as well.

I will say they were super apologetic and nice during the whole ordeal, and they look super good, way better than I hoped!

Thanks for all the replies. I can live with them being a little behind. I am not at the critical point yet, I was just getting concerned because they weren't answering calls, emails or returning messages. They had been so good about it up until two weeks ago. As long as they are still working away I won't stress and will swing by there when I am in town in a couple weeks.

They built and installed our front drive way entrance gate to the property about 10 years ago. They did a good job and it has always worked like it should.

When I spoke to them in Feb they quoted six months out on work and 30 days out just for an estimate, this was for a $20K block wall project. I imagine they are just slammed like everyone else. The not responding is the part that sucks, it is not that hard to respond to an email.

I would NEVER again work with any business that I have orders in with or have placed any kind of deposit with that does not communicate. I don't give a crap about how busy they are, if they took my order and money they need to at least have the professionalism of a quick email or returned text letting the customer know they are just really busy and doing their best, and I can bet that would calm almost any customer down. Poor Service is not acceptable from any business.

it doesn't matter how busy they are. for around $18.00 an hour they can hire a gal to answer the damn phone and at least have the manager/owner
or somebody get back to the clients at a later time........

It is frustrating to the customers to not communicate. But as a business owner you can also get frustrated.

The phone rings constantly, interrupting your current task. You can't possibly keep up. You have work booked out for months, and taking on more jobs is silly because you are already overwhelmed by what you already have. If you answer the call it will just be another job you can't get to.

Some customers understand, but most want 5 star service, and they want it immediately. "Just hire more people" is the usual refrain. But it's not that easy for specialty work. Potential employees are a gamble, they take a lot of supervision, training and guidance. Which of course you don't have time for since you are already working ten hours a day trying to keep up with the current workload.

As an owner you want every customer to have a great experience, you want to please everyone, but there is just too much to do and not enough time.

The labor shortage is getting more noticeable every day. For what it's worth, Masonry and More did some gate work for us. Fair price, quality work and on time. But, that was a couple of years ago.

About a year ago we had problems getting armor fence to show up. Once they did they did a really nice job. Labor is hard to find and worse in Havasu. When they finished our job I think they were like 6+ months out on work. If your not a builder sending them lots of work my guess is your project is low on the list.

Seems like more and more companies are taking "customer service/relations" advice from Robby Gordon 😂 😂 😂

I am pretty sure Masonry and More use Armor Fence to do their iron work. At least they used to.

Armored Fence was at least 30 days out to price a job and 6 months out to fabricate early this summer. I had a metal fabricator out of South Gate fab about 100 LF of fencing and two gates in about 3 weeks. I then trucked it to Havasu and had a powder coater in town take another 10 days to coat. Like they say, if you want something done, do it yourself. You‘ll be months out with Armored Fence. It was 50/50 getting them to answer their phone. You have better luck walking into their office to get questions answered. They are friendly and shit but super busy.

If it was me, I would drive out to see what’s the status.

I plan too when I am in town in a couple weeks. Just thought I would ask the brain trust if anyone had heard anything in the mean time.

Interesting? Armor gave us an estimate for exactly the same job. Masonry and More was less than Armor.

Only game in town had other folks out did half the work never to be seen again. Fortunately I was out no money.

I think the game is get in-line and Armor will get to it as scheduling permits. Waiting on them now to install a 100 feet of chain link.
