He is now 32, has a great job and is raising 3 great kids. When he was two and was checked by the head doc at UCD the doc was gobsmacked. When he was 5 we released his records for teaching. "Your son is a miracle, sir. "

I have 1 graduating this year, a freshman and a 7th grader. What they're learning in school about communism and socialism is truly disgusting. What they learn from me, and my books is much more involved. My daughter is trying hard to get into a service academy, to both gain education, and serve our country. Rod, I am only going to play your game this one time. Once. There is no point in having this conversation with you because you are lost. You are a Believer. Some of these things we need to do because parents are shirking their responsibility to lead. We are so far down the path that we have generations of citizens who don't know how to raise their kids any other way, I know, I have talked to them. They have been sucked into the maw of the system and want to get their kids out, but don't know how to do it.

Thank your for the very well crafted and insightful response. With regard to the education system, I don't disagree with much of what you state in terms of curriculum. However, the notion that a teacher, let alone a school system, needs to pick up the slack for the failing American family is not only impractical, it is unrealistic. When I say "failing" I don't mean because they are divorced or perhaps a single parent household. I mean failing in terms of providing a safe, loving and nurturing environment at home that can then be taken into the classroom. There are lots of contributing factors to that degradation and headwinds to the success of those families. Those headwinds also lead to less parental support and interaction with the schools system.

Thank you for your time as a sworn officer. I hope you do run for school board, your experience will serve you well.

As for something being labeled as socialist/marxist or whatever, that's your right.

I've worked for elected officials for the last 23 years. Of the dozens of electeds I have worked for during the first 21 years, all but two were republican. One of the two democrats switched his party when it was "his turn" to be the Chair of the Board. A the time, Orange County would never agree to have a democrat as the chair. My point to this is that regardless of party, most of them were all alike in that they were in it for power, recognition and eventual wealth. They didn't necessarily all start out that way but the process has a way of changing people.

How the F did AZ voter pass 208. That tax is going to limit CA businesses from relocating and increasing hard working successful family owned small businesses from being able to continue. AZ might of just passed TX for going to hell in 60 months.

There was talk (talk radio) about what happens when states have marijuana issues on the ballot, and it looks like it may have played a part in what happened in AZ. Weed initiatives bring out more lib voters who also vote lib on everything on the ballot.

Since 2016 Az has gone from 2 R senators and 5 R congressman versus 4 D congressman to 2 D senators and most likely 5 or maybe 6 D congressman.

On top of that Az would have gone from R majorities in State Senate and the State House to most likely losing their majority in one if not both chambers of the State Legislature.

And a likely tax increase (prop 208) that makes Az the 9th highest taxed state in the nation.

Now what could possibly be the reason?
